For some reason, 5Dimes only has betting on Phoenix in terms of where Kawhi’s first game will be next season. And they’re at +365. That one…has me thrown for a loop. - tweet from Sam Vecenie

4 teams in 4 years for Dwight.
Re: Around the League: 2018 Offseason
Some stories out now about how his teammates couldn't stand him and the players and some coaches would roll their eyes when he'd tried to be a leader, asking for more touches, etc. Same things were said in Atlanta. If they can keep the lockerroom together, BK could make some noise next year. But it could go either way with Dwight.

A couple 2nd rounders. Absolute steal for them. Dwight isn't a building block, but he's an expiring contract.O_Gardino wrote: ↑Wed Jun 20, 2018 10:39 amWhat else is NJ sending in the deal?Wally_West wrote: ↑Wed Jun 20, 2018 10:05 amDidn’t see anyone post this yet. https://mobile.twitter.com/wojespn/status/1009426530005643265 4 teams in 4 years for Dwight.![]()

Re: Around the League: 2018 Offseason
Wait, so Charlotte is taking on money to get Mozgov and get rid of Howard? Wow. Either they are total morons or Dwight is completely toxic. Or both.
Re: Around the League: 2018 Offseason
Dwight has a bigger contract this year. It saves Charlotte like 17 million dollars this year as it gets them out of the luxury tax. They've got Batum and Williams contracts still in the books, so they weren't going to get any cap relief next summer regardless.
Re: Around the League: 2018 Offseason
I think it saves them 7 million + lux tax savings this year. At most 14 million, and Mozgov makes more than that next year. I think they are hoping for some addition by subtraction. Can't have Howard around young players.Split T wrote: ↑Wed Jun 20, 2018 11:44 amDwight has a bigger contract this year. What is it that Howard does that makes him so toxic? Man, no one wants him. Orlando, LA, Houston, Atlanta, Charlotte, NJ.

This puts Brooklyn in line to offer two max contracts next year.
Plus you want to avoid the luxury tax when you can because you may have to go over it later and don't what to encounter the repeater tax if you don't have to.

Nevver heard of the repeater tax. How much is it, and when do you get it?The Bobster wrote: ↑Wed Jun 20, 2018 12:22 pmThis puts Brooklyn in line to offer two max contracts next year.

Re: Around the League: 2018 Offseason
My sense has always been that he doesn't care much about winning and losing.
Dwight Howard and D'Angelo Russel on the same team? Yikes. A solid start if they're trying to form the ultimate "bad teammate" roster.
Re: Around the League: 2018 Offseason
Howard has never been willing to accept his strengths and weaknesses as a basketball player. He could have dominated as a rim-running big, but he always wants post touches and at his best he was mediocre there. It's also been years since he was at his best. Just recently he was talking about becoming a 3-point shooter.
His personality also seems so forced and desperate. Finally, he's infamous for his farts.

Re: Around the League: 2018 Offseason
When he came into the league, he was infamous for being a Jesus freak. Now, that is mostly forgotten and he is infamous for his farts.
