Exactly.

Besides, letting him go for nothing doesn't allow us to just spend his money elsewhere. Next summer Dragic, the twins and Green are will need contracts, and their combined cap hold (plus picks) will be substantial.

Of course you can spend the money elsewhere. Use it to facilitate trades. Moreover, you don't have to worry about the Twins' cap hold if they're not on the roster.

Cap wrote:They certainly need four guards at the least, and Ennis probably isn't ready, so losing Bledsoe would leave the backcourt very thin. Of course, you know this, and your argument is insincere.
Ennis can take ish smith's spot. Of course, you know this. You questioning my motives is insincere.

First comment: 'This dude was selling jerseys out of the back of a van and Eric Bledsoe is wondering why he doesn't have a contract.'

Yea I couldn't read that article...it just angered me. I love this quote from David Griffin:
“He is a really good communicator and knows the basketball side real well — I could see him on our side of the game someday,” said David Griffin, the Cavaliers’ general manager.
I doubt McD shares that same sentiment. Easy to love the guy when he delivers the best player in the world to your doorstep. You think Danny Ferry was saying that in 2010?

All I know is that he's really bad at math.

Signing Thomas all but showed this was coming. Now, what can we realistically expect in return for Bledsoe? I hear Dudley could be available... :?

How are they exploring a Bledsoe trade? Philly is the only team that can give him the max and they're not interested. Easier said than done, Jude.

If it's a sign and trade, the Suns would be the ones giving him the max so almost every team becomes a possible trade partner as long as the incoming salaries work within the rules.

Ah, gotcha. That makes sense. The problem is who do we get that's a difference maker. Maybe Randle? I just don't see the Bucks giving up the Greek Freak.

Bucks have no reason to move Giannis so you can give up that pipe dream. Bledsoe has half a season of starts, we'll be lucky to get anything substantial for him.

Sorry I meant Milwaukee, I must've had something else on my mind when I typed that lol.

Can we trade him on just his QO and let the other team extend him?

Nope. If he is under the QO and gets traded, no further rights are packed with him, which is why the move must have the player's consent. Also, if he takes the QO, he can't be traded for 3 months/dec. 15 (whichever comes later) since there is not anything like a 'QO-and-trade'.
