I agree generally.
In playoff basketball, unless you hit somebody in the face with a 2x4, the refs usually swallow their whistles in the last seconds.
I guess my point was, as much as the Spurs were complaining about no-calls, their hands were not exactly clean.
In the NBA, two wrongs don't make a right, but three or more often do ...

Yeah, I wasn't saying that they were clean. I am just sick of how bad the refs are in NBA basketball. It is bad to the point that I don't think it is ineptitude. It is calculated.

There was also a fan grabbing onto Adams' arm while the play was still live. That was pretty crazy.

I do think it was fine that nothing was called. The players settled it on the floor. Spurs got a good look at it, but the Thunder defended them well, and the shot didn't go in. I think the Thunder deserved their win and the refs didn't change the outcome of the game.

When you watch the replays, you could literally see at least 5-7 infractions that would have been called at another point in the game. If it is fine that none of those are infractions at the end of the game, why do we need refs?

NBA just announced there were 5 incorrect no-calls in the last 13.5 seconds. But they have the best refs in professional sports...

I think it is "fine" in the sense that in my opinion it didn't ruin the outcome of the game. I don't support bad officiating or swallowing the whistle, but I'm just saying that I am not very upset about the no-calls because I think the right outcome was preserved.

By that you mean that the Thunder were supposed to win? Or that the number of missed fouls wouldn't have made a difference? Sorry, just trying to understand what "right outcome" means when refs didn't do their job. And I am in an argumentative mood today.

Dragic had a big game tonight. An actual one including hitting the dagger 3 that iced it putting the Heat up 5. Only 2 assists playing 36 minutes though.

Exactly. I want accuracy in calls, not lazy customs such as 'let the players decide the game'.

I like that the league has made a policy of acknowledging the officiating mistakes at the ends of these games. It's a start.

What I mean is that if you look at all the missed calls, really the Spurs shouldn't have won. Manu steps on the line, so that's a delay of game or tech. So Thunder should have gotten a FT. If anything, Spurs were handed an opportunity to win the game that they didn't deserve, and they still blew it.

I just hate that the game is called completely differently the last two minutes of a close game. I think LeBron and DWade were recently quoted as saying that these "two minute reports" the league is putting out there is bad for the game because it makes it sound as if the last two minutes is where the game is won or lost. I totally agree. What if a blown foul call in the first quarter results in a player having to sit out for an extended period? That definitely has an outcome on the game.

I appreciate more transparency, but what I'd really appreciate more is the game being called consistently for the full 48 minutes.
