Gotta give the Suns some credit. Hung in there most of the game and had it tied with 5 minutes remaining. Unfortunately, just like last night, they then no longer could score.

Suns should shut down Devin Booker till All Star break. Turf toe isn't something that can be recovered from so quickly imo. This dude is still hurting out there, he doesn't look physically alright at all. Doesn't do the Suns any good to make this worse.

I'm sure he wants to play more than anything so he'll say or do anything he can to belittle his injury and play instead but Suns have to look out for his best interest and their own future.

This Warriors team is not the same buzz saw that last year's team was during the regular season.

The may be the favorite, but their not the prohibitive favorite like last year when they were a little deeper and a little bigger.

I kind of agree with this.

I agree, for now. They're still figuring it out. I think that once they do, they'll be absolutely nasty. Then again, they did go 73-9 last year...

I don't think they're as good of a team as the last couple years. Their role players aren't as good and they're too small.

I want to look into this more. Specifically the 2 late runs in the last 2 games. I will have a post once I analyze it better.

Yeah, depth and size are problems for them. They have amazing offensive firepower, but if they get into a grind-it-out slugfest, you get the sense that they'd struggle. I wonder whether they'll figure it out as the season goes on, or if they'll have to make some kind of trade to get bigger.

OK. I don't think turf toe is made worse by playing unless the underlying problem (shoe size) is not addressed. It might hinder his effectiveness now, but he will continue to heal the same regardless of playing or not playing.

I might be wrong about this, but when I had it in high school, that was the way it went. I remember my buddy had it, and it was because he didn't keep his toenails trimmed properly, so the nail hit against the front of his shoe. Mine was from shoes that were too small. I doubled up my socks because someone told me that would be a good idea, but then that made my shoes too small and I ended up with turf toe.

I didn't get to see much of the game, but I took time for the highlights this morning, and I noticed something good that I hadn't seen before.

Bender was calling for the ball. He's out at th3 3pt line letting the team know that he's open and ready to shoot. It happens 2x on the video I saw. It's not the biggest thing, but this whole season is about appreciating the little things and watching the growth and maturity of our future core. Really nice to see Bender gain that confidence. When we first saw him in summer league, he didn't seem to know if he was open or not, and he didn't seem to know if he should shoot or not. Well, now he want's the ball and he wants to shoot. Love it. Next he'll dunk it.

I couldn't find it on youtube highlights, but you can see it on the RISE network video on the Suns homepage at about the 20 second mark.
