I've said that here a dozen times. If he were making a young team better wouldn't a team with the better young talent want to keep him? No one ever has an actual answer for that. I think we see a player we want and then construct a narrative that fits what we want to believe instead of the other way around. Some of us are so desperate for a Nash/Kidd like PG that we're willing to try anything right now. Lets make sure the team makes smart moves. This is a key moment in our rebuild. Shackling ourselves to Rubio at $14M a year (2 more years after this one) is not the answer.TheOriginalOriginal wrote:Rubio sucks. If he were worth a damn, Minnesota wouldnt be looking to unload him.
None of those numbers were making sense to me then I realized both articles are from last year.Ring_Wanted wrote:
At least he doesn't make them worse hahaha. Seriously, there are other stats that show how Minni wins more and plays better with hin on the court.

True, but should be factored in if the point is 'Rubio's impact on others is a myth'.carey wrote:None of those numbers were making sense to me then I realized both articles are from last year.
Agreed. So maybe the discussion needs to be why is it different this year? Is it Thib's system? The emergence of LaVine? Or perhaps he feels threatened by Dunn though he has not played well?Ring_Wanted wrote: True, but should be factored in if the point is 'Rubio's impact on others is a myth'.
Anyway, Dunn if the PG I really want, but doubt the Wolves give him up.
Not quite but here's a little something-something.Marty [Mori Chu] wrote:I'm game; I deserve it. Is there a "hunky Rubio" photo out there somewhere?
Is Ingram officially a bust yet? Wow. This draft so far has been a dud with the big two injured or performing so poorly. Its really a mystery how some players can look so good and then be so bad in the NBA while others like Embiid and KAT seem to thrive.Split T wrote:Mavs beat Lakers by 49. Ha ha! That's good. Mori's licking his lips right now.UglyTruth wrote:Not quite but here's a little something-something.Marty [Mori Chu] wrote:I'm game; I deserve it. Is there a "hunky Rubio" photo out there somewhere?
Can't really say what has changed, although all you said probably makes an impact, and the emergence of Dunn is not going to take long to come. There is also a personal factor, as his mother died in may '16 and his granny did a couple of days ago.carey wrote:Agreed. So maybe the discussion needs to be why is it different this year? Agreed on the latter part, but 'fine' is pretty vague and if by that we are talking about those Durant comps, it's going to be a heavy task to even approach that level. what's your opinion on his speed? I believe that's the biggest limiting factor, even more than his weakness.Shabazz wrote:Ingram will be fine. He's looked a lot better lately and he's 19. Lakers are letting him play through his mistakes and it will pay off in the long run.
LOL. I deserve this.Superbone wrote:Ha ha! That's good. Mori's licking his lips right now.UglyTruth wrote:Not quite but here's a little something-something.Marty [Mori Chu] wrote:I'm game; I deserve it. Is there a "hunky Rubio" photo out there somewhere?
