Great interview with Dudley on the Ringer NBA podcast today. Best part is when he calls out Lindsey Hunter toward the end. He gives a lot thoughts about Booker, Chriss and Bender as well. Definitely worth a listen.

What do you guys think of signing Otto Porter this summer? Would Washington match?

Ya, I imagine he'll get a max offer and Washington will match. He'd be a great fit at the 3 for us though.

That is steep.

It is steep, considering you'd have to pay him 20+ million a year as well or whatever the new starting max is for players coming off rookie deals.

Dudley seems like a great guy, very down to earth with a great attitude. At the very least he's great to listen to.

Dudley's podcast interview quite interesting. He's been a bit miffed about string of DNPs, but shrugs it off. I could see him as a coach some day.

He's a great 3rd Wheel. He's like Shawn Marion in that regard. He feels up the stat sheet and doesn't have to be a focal point of the offense. His shooting has been incredible this year, we'll see if that sticks. In the podcast with Jared Dudley that's been talked about, Dudley talks about Wall and gives Wall a lot of credit for how well Porter has played. Was interesting to hear Dudley say Wall has better court vision than Chris Paul. Dudley was a big John Wall fan.

Porter's been a big surprise with how his game has progressed. The new reality is guys like him are going to get 15-20mil per. That's just how it is. I do like the fit next to Booker, so long as we understand he's a role player. Warren and Miami's 1st may be steep for us, but I doubt it even gets the convo started with the Wiz.

I'd move Warren and a Miami 1st for him if he was getting paid 15 million a year and you're right that the Wiz wouldn't consider that at all, but Porter will get the max, which is 4 years, 100 million. Paying Porter 25 million a year is tough considering he's a 3rd wheel and we're not sure what wheels 1 and 2 are yet. Booker appears to be on that path and we will have a good shot at drafting a stud this year, but there is no guarantees.
