Watch the defenders. Blake trying to grab him as he chases him across the baseline. Jordan frozen in his tracks and then flailing at the ball.
And CP3 dropped the axe as well.

How it was an F before they ever played is what boggles the mind.
I'm not sure why it's so mind-boggling. I didn't think any of the selections were good. It was a reaction and an opinion.

No, he was recommending the movie Cop Out with Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan. I don't recommend it, that movie is trash, Cap must have horrible taste in movies.

When I asked you to update your draft grade and you answered "Time will tell," that was a cop out.

INF! Good to see you, man. Have you posted here yet about who you'd take at #4, #32, etc.?

I don't really see the point an updating the grade now. I don't think the case is closed for any of the picks. They all showed promise, but I am certainly not sold on any of them yet.

Same point as issuing a grade on draft day, which you did quite vehemently.

Issuing grades after the draft is basically answering the questions: how do you think this team did? how do you feel about what they did? If you are not interested in answering those questions at that time, that's fine. But to completely change one's opinion definitely after just one year seems premature, unless the results from year one are so overwhelmingly positive or negative.

For example, when Knick fans killed the Porzingis pick, after one year it was clear that they were wrong.

I'm with Inf on this one. I _like_ our players better than I did on draft day, but none of them have proven they will even stan in the NBA past their rookie contracts. I have hope for them, but there wasn't a ton of minute or a ton of success for any of them.

Agreed

It could be argued that Chriss is clearly not an "F" in his draft class. Ulis has also been pretty impressive.

And Bender's grade is most definitely Incomplete.

Tyler certainly showed a lot of promise, but it isn't like anyone here expects him to be a starter, and maybe not in the league after his rookie deals. And we are the people with the highest valuation of him on the planet.

As for the others, can't say anything about Bender right now. Chriss looks to have promise, but that is about it. We are happy that our top 10 pick isn't a bust yet. That is what it has come down to.

I think an F is only warranted if we were to completely reach for someone or took a guy we absolutely don't need, who isn't even the BPA. Like if we had take Poeltl or Taurean Prince at 4, then you could pretty much make it an F.

But we had a huge hole to fill at PF and took two young talents, highly regarded who brought different things to the table.

Oh, I agree that an F is a very rare grade you give out in NBA drafts (think Darko at the top of the draft and even Rolando Balkman late first round). I wouldn't even call things like Kandi or Oden as Fs when they happened. And I don't think F is appropriate for last year's draft for us. I would say a C, since at the time it was not clear if any of the other picks available would have moved the needle any more than the players we picked.

It's actually kinda silly to grade drafts right after they happen. Even now is still to early to give our draft a proper grade.
