I hate that draft. I guess we could have had Gobert. At the time I thought he was super raw. It turned out that he developed about 10X faster than Len did, and we're stuck likely watching our #5 pick walk for nothing in return. He's not going to play on the QO. It's even more unlikely that we find a sign & trade partner for anything useful.

There were some good choices. We just didn't draft well that year.

Guys we could have had:

McCollum
Adams
Antetokounmpo
Schröder
Dieng
Hardaway Jr.
Gobert
Crabbe

To say we "missed" on these players at #5 is ridiculous. Not a team in the league would have picked them at that spot.

Maybe McCollum. I don't remember where he went, I think top 10, but he could have gone 5. Those others were not in any consideration for the 5th pick. Noel, Mclemore, MCW, and McCollum are the guys we would have been picking instead of Len.

The only two I'm sad about is Gobert and Giannis. No one knew Giannis would become this though. Even though Bill Simmons was pimping him pre-draft pretty hard.

I remember being interested in Giannis, but I never would have picked him 5th. I remember Milwaukee picked him quite a bit higher than anyone expected him to go.

Guys we haven't even discussed who will win the Archie Goodwin 29 pointer award for marginal player putting up big numbers on the final game of the season and getting us all excited during the offseason!

Funnily enough Archie did it against the kings also.
Last year the award went to Alan Williams who played a nice game against the clippers.

So who is your pick for this year?
I'm thinking Len may finally realise he's playing for a contract and may actually dunk the ball a few times for a change. But please let it be Bender instead.

Of those guys, which of them would you wanna pay big money to? Giannis and Gobert?

I'd pay big money to both. But there isn't a player in the league i'd take over Giannis right now.

A lot of fodder for the Len sucks crowd so far. Ugly.

Kings scoring the first 9 points. Len with a turnover off the inbound pass. The tank is humming tonight!

The Suns look terrible and only down by 2. With this team, I would say they will be the runaway worst team in the NBA. Good thing it's the last game of the year, and a lot of reinforcements are on the way next year.

I love Giannis. I'm willing to talk his brother into coming out for the draft this year, just to draft him, hoping he turns into something close.

That family really doesn't like Bender.

Just got home and turned on the game. Looks like a little scuffle involving Bender. Hmm.

Warren seems to be having a good game so far, and Ulis is also scoring well.

Go Suns! Lose by a small number of points! :)

We'll get a look at Millsap's brother. (Have we made the joke yet about the Suns signing yet ANOTHER player's brother??)

With all the Giannis talk why isn't anyone suggesting bringing in Thiannis or whatever his name is, from the DLeague?

I get the idea of wanting Kosta but he was ineligible to play college ball this year because of academics. He also wasnt eligible to even practice until January. He averaged 12.9 ppg his senior year of HS. I'm intrigued by him but he'd be like 3 years away from even being mentioned. He needs to play at least a season of college before I'd get serious. He's also currently 6'10 190. That's a Manute Bol-like build.

This may have already been answered earlier in the thread, but: What's the current scouting report on Hield and the post-trade Kings? Is Hield playing well for them? Does the team seem rejuvenated by the removal of the dark cloud of Boogie, or do they stink just as much as ever?
