The Suns were up 25-8 to start the game (+17).
They end the half down 61-46 (-15).

7 million 3 point attempts, mostly contested and ZERO use of our most efficient scorer in Ayton.
How many minutes did he play that quarter?
Booker gets injured and Ayton still warms the bench.
Ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous.

I don't even know where to start with explaining why this team is bad.
Passing the ball to Jackson in the corner for a three as the shot clock is running out sums it up pretty well.

We HAVE to start posting Ayton and playing thru him.
This won’t get us any more wins, but for our future it absolutely makes sense. It feels like the coaches are holding him back somehow. I’m sure he could also take more perimeter shots and even sometimes take a three.

How does a team have a 32-point turnaround in 16 and a half minutes?!

At some point Josh has to start to make that shot.

We just can’t stop anyone consistently and we stopped making shots, that’s how.

I'm fine with those guy taking those shots and missing them within the offense. Those are game reps; they more they take them, hopefully the better they get. My gripe is with the offense itself and the fact that Ayton is always 22 feet from the basket. Or, he's rolling which isn't even that much of a strength for him. He's not Amar'e. He needs to sit in the post.

Surely you don’t mean taking those early forced 3’s?

Besides them, I agree you’ve got to take what’s given during the game but as you say, no post presence and ignoring him when he’s there (agreed he needs to be planted way more than he is) makes no sense.

Has there been any serious questioning from the press post games about this?

Crawford -22 in 12 minutes. Holmes -21 in 11 minutes.

That's pretty ugly.

We are giving heavy minutes to 3 rookies a raw 2nd-year player, and a replacement level vets. You don't need to look any further than that really.

Rookie mistake by Igor not to call that timeout after the previous shot.

Ayton with a +9. Too bad the coach won't ever play him.
