I'm not so sure NO wants a premium price for Jrue. They may want cap relief, and we can offer some of the best in the NBA. The Pels are going to pay almost 15 Million in lux tax ill this season, and maybe they want to cut that down since they aren't winning and maybe aren't making the $ they expected after drafting Zion.

Johnson + Okobo + Leqcue for Jrue works. That cuts their tax bill in half this year, while putting them back in the FA hunt next season and giving them 2 interesting young guards.

At least, that's what's in the emails I'm sending to the Pels.

I love Jrue. I think he’s possibly the best PG fit in the league next to Booker. But I don’t think it makes sense to have both Jrue and Rubio on the roster.

And adding another poor 3p% to the court wouldn't be helpful--if Rubio and Jrue are on the floor in the back court, there is no need to close out. That will make it really hard for the rest of our guys to dive or get off 3s.

Also, is he worth 30M more over Rubio the next 3 years?

He’s a career 35% 3 Pt shooter. Basically the same as Booker.

Agreed.

The Suns already have enough trouble attracting quality free agents thanks to the owner and previous management. It would be a really bad look to trade their biggest FA signing in years after just 4 months regardless of how the roster turned out afterward.

Everyone will always say it's just business, but loyalty matters and players pay attention to stuff like that.

Yeah, I'm not advocating to trade Rubio.

He only got above 33% once in the last 5 years. He was better earlier in his career, but that was on a pretty low volume. He hasn't been getting better with age.

I thought Carter over Weis was something I might never see again. Amazing how close it came to happening. Now I can have hope of someday actually seeing it happen in the NBA.

The Thunder are pretty good. They beat the Clippers tonight and SGA matched his career high he had against us. 32 points.

I don't know about "give away", but their trade leverage goes down by the hour. Every team seriously considering a trade for Love will wait until at least after the new year. However, I don't think he'll be dealt until much closer to the deadline.
