Tied at the half and lucky to be. We've been outplayed on both ends IMO. Heat are just executing everything off screens, getting open for jumpers and cuts to the basket. Book's singlehandedly keeping us in the game with 21. Saric and Cam have been solid, Carter with two 3s but not much from Rubio, Mikal or Ayton. Payne solid but a little out of control at times.

Ayton could learn a lot from him. He’s got all of Bam’s skill with more physical talent.

They are manhandling the Suns with no calls.

I want to see Ayton come out the locker room with his eye swollen from getting clocked by a teammate. Completely unacceptable effort out there.

Suns have a lot more room for improvement, so should be happy we’re tied. Let’s see what Ayton comes out in half 2.

He doesn’t really ever dominate 1-1 matchups. His post game is too fade-away centric. He’s a good finisher in the pick n roll, but that’s a 2 on 2 play at least and the ball handler does most of the work. He occasionally flashes a quick dribble move from the high or mid post, but usually just takes that middy. He is an elite offensive rebounder. From what I’ve seen today though, maybe he should just pop to 3. Give Book more space.

I like Ayton. He’s got Hall of Fame potential, but he needs to decide what he is offensively. Does he want to be a difference maker or just a role playing efficient finisher.
