It's not just about injuries with CP3. It's the fact that he'll be 37 years old in May and if he plays heavy minutes in the regular season he may not have much left in the tank by the postseason. Like I said in the other thread a few days ago, it's time for Monty to prioritize health over winning regular season games.
I'm fine with Payton getting 30 minutes per game. In fact, if he knew he was being relied on for 30 minutes per game, I think he would play better.
Like Split said, I am not worried about him wearing out. He is playing at the lowest usage % of his career and taking the fewest shots of his career (while still leading the league in assists and steals--which just tells you he coasts and turns it on when he needs to). I am worried about him getting injured because we have nobody close to being an even average level replacement player for him. But playing 33 mpg vs 31.4 (his lowest ever) isn't much of a difference maker.

So is Booker at the top or ranked 78th for clutch shooting?

He is tops among those who have 25 or more attempts (and Chris Paul is #4):

If you make it 10 or more attempts, Ayton is #1 (and Booker is #8, Paul is #20):

and 72nd if you take away all qualifiers. In that instance, Alex Len is #1.

Ok so NBA.com is with no minimum FGA criteria, but you’re filtering it by >25 shots…all other criteria sounds similar :

Booker - 54 points in 53 minutes (!)
Paul - 60 points and 23 assists in 69 minutes (!!!)

Amusingly enough, I think we can start talking about "magic numbers" to at least get into the play-in game right now. It'd be 11 from where things stand right now, right?

Yep. We have won 20 more games than 10th place Portland, and they have 31 games left (we have 32). So if we win 11 more games they can't catch us.

Nothing really new...I'm curious as to whether any rumors are true or if some are just social media accounts throwing stuff out there and it getting picked up and thrown around as rumors. Not just with us, have seen it with other teams/fan accounts as well. I definitely wouldn't want us sending Stix to Denver or Milwaukee. I'd be intrigued to see Stix and Robert Williams playing next to each other tho in Boston.

I would go all in on Eric Gordon. That move would really solidify our playoff rotation and give us 7 starter quality guys and another 3 rotation worthy bench players.

fivethirtyeight.com has had their playoff odds at >99% for a while now.
I think Golden State is the only team out there with a realistic chance of catching them this year as things stand right now.
