Yep. And despite having Cam Johnson, we are not a great 3P% team. Only 11 wins this year came shooting over 40% from 3. And we only have one guy shooting over 40% for the season (I won't count Javale who is technically right at 40%

)
I worry about this a little bit.
We are a good 3-point team but don't seem to win a lot of games via 3-point barrages like somebody like GS does. You think of this team as having a lot of great 3-point shooters, but a lot of nights they don't really fall. Guys like Bridges, Payne, and Shamet are pretty hot-and-cold; the guys I really trust shooting 3s on a nightly basis are Cam Johnson, Booker, Crowder, and sometimes CP3. I wish Bridges were just a bit more reliable of a shooter, that would make a ton of difference. Or if one of our bench guards could deliver 3s a bit more consistently.
This made me curious.
GSW
3 games this year where they shot
>50% from 3. They went 3-0
17
>40%. 17-0
22 times
<33%. 12-10
6 times
<25%. 1-5
Suns:
3 times
>50%. 3-0
14 times
>40%. 12-1
19 times
<33%. 14-5
5 times
<25%. 4-1
This frequency of each bucket was more similar than I would have thought (like you I assume). But it shows that we are not nearly as dependent on hitting 3s to win. I mean GSW is barely over .500 when they shoot 33% or worse. And they have been at that 3P% just as often as we have. We are still a 75% team when we shoot that poorly.

Really interesting. Thanks for those numbers. I do like that we don't depend on the 3 falling to win.

I guess. I never expected him to play this season.

It's usually about 8 months post-surgery for NBA players to start typical on-court work, then it's at least another 3 months before they're in game condition. I've mostly heard and read that it's about a 15-18 month recovery process to get back to full strength and comfort to play NBA games.
I realize that he's dead money on the Suns cap right now, but I'm not against seeing how he looks this coming Fall if they can't get him into a favorable trade.

Ya he’s not someone we need to dump or anything. He’s not super pricey and he is a useful player. He’s especially a good fit with Cam Payne.

If we can't get Gordon or another major trade/buyout guy, I'd at least consider him. I liked him last season especially in the early part of the year.

It also goes to show they have half their losses to teams with bad records. Is it just me that gets nervous more playing against a bottom dweller then a good team. This year hasn't been as bad, but we still tend to play down to our Competition.

Doolie injury stuff was a little strange but he for sure lost his spot during the course of the season
I want to let
Saucey know that I find it to be in bad taste that he not acknowledge Nader's departure

Mikal contract discussion was centered around we need him to be a consistent scorer and leave the single digit efforts in 2020.
Well going from 12-13ppg to 15-16 would have been satisfactory in my opinion. His season avg can't get to 18-20ppg but if this trend continues rest of season this will obviously be a huge development
I really like the growth as it's just not corner 3s, cuts and fast breaks anymore.

Still there for me, but it’s a tweet showing the teams with the best records/point differential against the top 10 teams in point differential.
We are 12-5 with a +4.9 differential
Golden state is 11-7 with a +2.6 differential
Memphis is 10-8 with a -2.0 differential
All other teams are .500 or worse. Utah actually has the next best differential at +2.8.
Cleveland and Boston at +2.3, Atlanta at +.2. Everyone else has a negative differential.
