I think our closing lineup for the next two months is going to be Ayton, Crowder, Cam J, Mikal and Point Book.
Yep, I 100% expect this. Maybe an occasional appearance from Cam Payne if he’s got it going or Torrey Craig if the situation calls for a switch everything scheme.

Why would you replace The Valley?! It’s becoming one of the most popular ever. You can’t even buy one.
Uh yeah. Those are all WHACK.

I hate the small sunburst jerseys. The current orange ones are lame and this teal one is hideous.

Also hate PHX. Enough with that, they played it out.
Somebody had a bad day. 😂

Don't need to post the whole article cause CP3 is the other player praising Monty and we know where he stands.
This is cool to see ✌🏾👍🏾

Looks like Payne is still not ready to go and probably won't be for at least a couple of more weeks. This is why he'll be a career backup that jumps from team to team. Seems these types of minor injuries that keep guys out for long stretches (he was expected to be back after 2 weeks and it's been a month) are what separate starters and stars from the rest. CP3 will be itching to get back in 4 to 6 weeks, the same amount of time Payne will end up missing for his wrist sprain.

Ammm that's a harsh take bud
You say it like he is comfortable taking his time to get back or as if you don't believe he's being doing everything necessary 🤷🏾‍♂️

I'm not there for the rehab and I'm not a doctor. Also, there are different severities to sprains and different pain tolerances. It might come across as harsh but I'm just frustrated that he's been out this long and will continue to be out while CP3 is sidelined. I do say that though in such a way that it seems like he's been comfortable taking his time to get back. He had a 2 week timeframe for his return and we're at 4 weeks now with still no idea when he'll back other than, in his words, "hopefully soon".

I would rather be take his time to get 100% rather then come back and "work thru it". Crowder came back too soon in my opinion and his shot has been garbage. I would rather him get right and not have issues like this linger into the Playoffs.

Fair point. We do have some guard depth and Shamet will be back soon. The way I understood the injury to Crowder was that he wasn't going to make it worse and it wasn't really going to get "right" this season so he came back when he did. Not all injuries are the same though and I'm not Payne, Crowder or the Suns medical staff.

No, they originally said he will be re-evaluated in 2 weeks. They never set a timeframe for his return, afaik.

I've seen you guys post Sportsbooks and like FiveThirtyEight with some interesting odds. I don't know what goes into it but I'm guessing Bball Reference is strictly stats ? 🤷🏾‍♂️

I think his inability to stick on a roster was more about not finding a good fit for his skills and weaknesses. He is a limited player; teams can shut down his drives to the basket if they have scouted him. And he doesn't always make the effort to look for the open man. And he's undersized and not a super awesome defender. So he's useful but only in the right team setting. He is more valuable to us as CP3's backup than the would be to, say, the Kings.

The sportsbook is just what people are betting on so the house can make sure there are equal winners/losers. I am pretty sure 538 is only stats, but it is on their stupid LEBRON or RAPTOR or weighted LEBRON systems (and I think assumes teams are full-strength). Bball-ref is from their simulations. They say "Results are based on 10,000 simulations of the remainder of season, including the play-in round."

This post is probably why the Suns are usually so vague with injury timelines.

I'm just getting stir crazy without Suns games. I was crying last night when I got Tabasco in my infected hangnail so I'm not really one to talk about Payne's pain threshold.
