I was probably most surprised hearing DeRozan name
Still a good player but feels like Bulls been terrible this season

Then I'm not really a big fan of JJJ game, he gets his block shots but I think he jacks up too many 3s most of the time. Either way guess being in the running for DPOY helps

Who will be the last pick of the all star game? Is it wrong that I kinda think it’ll be Lauri or Sabonis? Or will Giannis pick his fellow Europeans? I could see Randle being last too

It should be JJJ he's the worst player there.

This guy should absolutely be a target for us, Ayton trade or not.

I’d also feel a lot better about trading Ayton for a wing if we also had Vanderbilt on the bench

A little surprised there wasn’t a 5th with Brunson…maybe he could still make it with an injury

Bill Simmons has posted his semi-annual NBA Trade Value column. I know BS isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I always like these.

I think the GMs are gonna ask for the moon, I just don't think they'll get anything done until the prices come down. This could be a quiet deadline if they don't stop asking for ridiculous amounts of picks imo.

That trade value article should help explain why we’d have to add multiple picks to Ayton to get Siakam and why we’d probably have to add one to get OG

I don't know, I feel like those rankings are basically the player rankings right now, as opposed to looking too far in to the future. Maybe I like Ayton more than I think I do, but he's young, durable, and has already shown the potential to be like the 3rd best player, at worst, in a Finals matchup. Siakam is great, but he's older and probably is who he is at this point in his career. If I'm the Raptors, I entertain a straight up swap for Ayton just because he's younger and aligns with Barnes better than Siakam does. If I'm James Jones and they start asking for picks, I start asking for Koloko and swap rights down the line.

They should add picks to get a young, athletic almost All-Star former #1 pick who averaged 20/10 in the playoffs for a team that made it to the finals

Just don't ever expect Ayton to become an alpha dog on the court. He is what he is and we have to be comfortable with that going forward if we continue to move forward with him.

I've been kinda feeling the same way... The unrealistic valuation of first round picks has really screwed up this trade deadline, not to mention the reason Crowder is still with the team... Probably need to give Jones credit for not being trigger happy and just pulling the trigger.

Almost makes me want to sell every player, including Booker, to stockpile a gazillion first rounders for the next decade. But that's McDonough talk.
