I’m not really seeing the rebounding issue…KD is a better rebounder than either Mikal or Cam…ya if we start Shamet it might be a problem, but I’m assuming we start Craig. That’s 3 above average rebounders in the front court. What am I missing?

KD is a better rebounder than Cam but still not great if he's playing the 4. But if Craig is in there it might work. I just don't like Craig as a starter.

Maybe you weren't watching closely last night.

Our best rebounder had two!

I don't know, it might be best to start Craig so that he is surrounded by talent. That may he can focus on hustle, defense, rebounding, and just hitting open 3s.

Craig is probably the least bad choice as the 5th starter. He's a good defender and he hustles, and he can hit an occasional 3. Lock his ass in the gym and make him take 1000 corner 3s per day, that's what he needs.

This team often makes the "right play" to it's detriment. Meaning, I'd rather a tough KD mid-range shot than for the ball to swing to Torrey in the corner, even if the stats say otherwise. You'd better believe that's what the defense is going to be scheming for going forward: inviting the pass to the "5th guy."

If the stats say we get more points per attempt on the Torrey shot, why would you not want it?

Nothing is more cringe than Torrey Craig getting the ball anywhere but to dunk it
I don’t think you’re going to see Torrey in there to finish games come playoff time. At least I hope not.

What about Shamet getting the ball?

You're giving Monty too much credit.

It’s more about him finishing too many possessions- getting the pass vs taking the shot. It’s our biggest weak link. Putting Lee in solves some of that but creates issues on the other side of the ball.
It’s like someone else said, Torrey may start, but the 5th guy should be situational.

I’m fine with Craig shooting open 3s…he’s shooting 40%…a I just don’t want him dribbling

I also like the energy Okogie brings off of the bench. He has more juice on the ball than Craig.
