Okogie looking like the new Bruce Brown. I think our 5th starter is going to be a energy guy like him. We’ll see if it’s Craig, Okogie or Bazely. I like how crazy Okogie plays, looks better when he’s next with the starters. Looks horrible with the bench.

Okogie been hitting his 3s too. I think he’s the best starting option. Though I can see Craig, Ish, or Bazely making sense in certain situations.

The thing with Ish is that he's done everything the right way, worked hard, stepped up when needed and is a great lockerroom guy. To cut him for someone who'll be here for half a season isn't right. I know we need to improve and win games, but we just traded away two huge pieces of the team/lockerroom that brought good energy and personality to the group. Cutting Ish probably won't cost us a Finals appearance but lockerroom chemistry shouldn't be underestimated.

Decent stuff tonight
Like we all keep saying, if/when Okogie gives something on O it almost seems blasphemous that he would not be in the rotation
Good to see him and Ish making plays (Oh n Ish was nowhere close to dunking, that foul really did save him from Shaqtin a Fool )

Solid game after the previous game's letdown.
Six players in double figures is balance you'd like to see.
Okogie may be the wild card starter once the "new team" is in place.
His tazmanian devil style play could augment other starters.
Bazely might see time against taller teams.
As some others have commented, not factoring in Payne or Shamet due to long layoff.
Would not mind seeing another distributor as an acquisition ... not totally sold on Saben Lee.

Seeing you post this, Laz, gave me Ronnie Lee vibes for Okogie. Man, I loved watching that guy when I was a kid.

I missed the game last night. Good to see we got back on track, though.
And good to see that even on a team with 3 Hall of Famers, DA continues to be our leading scorer (gotta milk it while I can )
But seriously, does everyone still wish we had traded DA for Myles Turner?
Ayton had a solid game last night. The kind we expect every night in a regular season basketball game. And dude, not everybody wanted to trade DA for Myles Turner.

I didn't mean just in the summer, but early in the season people were wishing it had happened.
By the way, in the 10 games since Mat Ishbia walked into the building, Ayton is averaging 23/12 on .604 FG% and 4.8 FTA in less than 32 mpg.

And my point is it wasn't everybody like you keep saying. I, for example, didn't want that.

I’ll admit I wanted to trade him for Turner…I wouldn’t trade this version of Ayton…it’s just a question of if he can consistently do this.

One worry I've had with this recent trade is how it could negatively affect Ayton as he's lost the two guys who're closest to him. Early indication points to him being focused on winning basketball games, but we know he has a history of not backing up his words with action on the court. I'm optimistic this will be better for him in the long run, but he will be the scapegoat if it's not working out down the line.

He'll only be the scapegoat if he's not pulling his weight. His job once KD is suited will have never been easier.
