Getting Gafford and Washington at the deadline made all the difference. Always liked Washington and he's a great fit there because of his defensive versatility.

And you can see the difference with Luka as a PG, who manages and controls the game vs Book who's just handling the ball more out of necessity. Book just doesn't have the natural feel as a point guard. Gotta get him back to going what he does best.

I wonder what our team looks like if you just give us all the non Luka/Kyrie guys on Dallas in place of all our non Book/KD guys…

I don't think it works. I like their role players a lot, but those role players work best with the star being a facilitator as well as a scorer. Their team works because Luka knows how to go get 10+ assists along with all the points.

I agree it doesn’t work as well as the Luka version..but it might be better than our current team. Though you’d really need to add another ball handler.

Nasty defense by Jrue Holiday on the final Pacers possession. Forces a turnover (pity Hali isn't there for Indy), runs the ball down, Pacers forced to foul, game over. Celtics win by 3, go up 3-0 in the series. This series felt way closer than the W/L record would indicate.

Duh. It just means the league recognizes the possibility of a Celtics win. It doesn’t mean they’re making a prediction.

None of that matters. The home players don't want the celebrating done on their home court. Unless they've already bought their tickets to Cancun, they will do everything in their power to not lose at home. It is extra incentive whether you think it should be or not.

I love that Mike Conley said in his interview, when asked about getting Edwards going, that they were trying to get him off the ball more, and reduce him expending energy bringing the ball up so much.
