Much needed blowout. The Lakers' 3rd qtr woes are real but credit to Nurk for looking like a completely different player to start the 2nd half. The entire team was really clicking with Book taking over even with KD and Beal on the floor. His bread and butter is the midrange jumper and he went to it and stuck with it which helped us break away and opened things up for others. That's go-to reliable offense instead of just putting up 3s or ISOing. Beal worked his midrange and was getting to the basket, Royce found his 3pt shoot. There was a stretch with a few KD ISOs where everyone stood around and it felt forced, like we were just trying to get him some shots. But he needs to get his shots within the offense unless there's a legit mismatch. We also played some really solid defense, collapsing and getting into passing lanes, recovering back to shooters.
The Lakers run hot and cold but they went cold in the 2nd half and we took advantage. Didn't get stagnant on offense and give up the lead, kept Beal and KD under 30 minutes and went with a solid 9-10 man rotation. 50% FGs, 40% from 3, 31 assists to 9 TOs. That's the way our boxscore should look.

Suns leading Group C for the NBA Cup as well…of course if OKC wins their next two, they will have the tiebreaker over us. We gotta hope Lakers beat them…we could still get in as the wildcard as well. Dallas is the wildcard leader and is a +41, so would be difficult to catch them unless they lose to Memphis. So unfortunately we don’t control our destiny. Need either an OKC loss or a Dallas loss…or win another game by 30.

So, Durant is going to help the Nets beat us? Is that what I'm reading?
