If the season ends with the Blazers at 10 and us at 11, or with the Blazers beating us in the playin, I hope everyone will let Jeremy have his moment.
Because Ayton will at best be the 3rd most important player on a play-in team? Sure, congrats.
After we traded him for the 8th most important player on a team that misses the play-in or loses to them? I think he wins that one.
Unlock that thread and let him go beserk!!!!
Leave it dead.
Ayton would be in the all-star game if he had played all season like he did in the last two games. There lies his problem.

But averaging 18 & 10 his last season in Phoenix is still considered garbage. Am I right?

Dallas had a nice win in Boston tonight before AD has joined the team.

My hot take is, I actually think the Mavs will be pretty good with AD for a year or two. And I think the Lakers will actually be pretty mediocre with Luka and LeBron, who are both best when leading the offense. That doesn't mean I think the Mavs made a good trade. I'm just talking about the next half season or so.

The Lakers don't have anyone on their bench now. Playing Luka and LeBron heavy minutes in these playoffs will not be successful.
The Mavs have much more potential to contend this season, but that potential is extremely volatile.

I must admit that it is a old thing to bet your title chances on 2025 Anthony Davis staying healthy and Kyrie Irving staying sane.

Dallas had a better team before the trade…I’d say they slightly downgraded in current talent, but considering fit, they are probably still the better team. We’ll have to see how it all fits for LA though. I’m not as down on the Luka-Lebron offensive fit as others are.

I still remember a summer league game his rookie season where he threw and amazing pass and looked all-world. And then...yeah, bonkers. Worst yips I've ever seen in basketball. Mentally fragile.

At worst it takes some time and peripheral personnel changes. They both know the game too well not to be able to find a way to make it work.

Ya, they’ll probably need to do a little taking turns for a bit, but LeBron and Wade figured it out.

Ishbia paid almost 8 million to each team outside the luxury tax.

Actually looks like only half the tax payments go to teams…total tax payments should be 22 million per team…so I guess Ishbia only paid 4 million per team.
