Benching Tyus only to play him over 20 minutes and not play any other pieces is customer service bs. Play Oso, Dunn and CG.
They were never going to completely bench him. The Dunn stuff is weird though.

Weird is an understatement. Your best perimeter defender just racking up DNPs is wild. I was excited at the hire because he'd been very successful elsewhere, but Bud seems like a spineless jellyfish just like the last guy we had.
Or Kevin Durant is a coach killer.

Finally pulling Tyrus, good…. Not starting Dunn, bad.
But Royce makes some 3s sometimes.
Give Dunn minutes, he’ll get there. We know he has potential.
I was being sarcastic, I hate Royce O'Neale.
But do you hate how much you love him

I expected to come in here and see a bunch of Beal bashing from Wally. What gives?

I know this tweet is just team rah-rah propaganda. But I do think that Beal has shown a lot of character through this season. He's been blamed for the team's struggles, openly dangled in trades for months, benched, jeered by the fans, has dealt with multiple injuries. But through it all he has remained professional, hasn't lashed out at the team, hasn't sulked or stopped playing hard, has embraced a bench role and even seems to have tried his hardest to make the team succeed in that role.
I know he hasn't been a good fit here and we shouldn't have acquired him. But I find it hard to tear the guy apart given how maturely and responsibly he's handling all this, including giving such good effort on both ends of the floor when he plays. I think you could even make an argument, which would be debatable, that he has had an overall better season than Devin Booker in the games he has actually played. I don't know if I believe that, but I find myself disappointed at Beal way less than I do at Booker this year, who feels like he's falling way short of expectations.

This has got to be the best combined stats from "the big 3" so far I'm guessing. We play a lot better when all three are aggressive.

Thanks Shel for the extensive post game interviews and highlights! The wins have been few and far between so we have to enjoy the few we get.

I have no issues with Beal the person. He's a bad fit on the floor and his injuries are extremely frustrating. But generally, he seems like a good dude who's handled all of this really well.

Yep, it's on the Suns for acquiring him knowing the salary cap limitations, NTC, and redundancy with what we already had. I don't hold it against him. By all accounts he's a great guy that everybody loves and he's doing the best he can to help the team win.
