No one has ever said what the offer was though. Interesting how far off James Jones was from Sean Marks. I wonder what would have happened if we waited until the summer.
Gambo has reported it for a long time, at least since shortly after the trade.
I don’t recall him ever saying it was Mikal and Cam or all the picks and never both.
It turns out you’re the one who posted it :P

Well you got me there haha, I don’t remember that…though I think the disconnect for me is I did interpret what he said to KOC differently than what this tweet says.

I interpreted the KOC conversation to be James Jones offered Mikal/Cam and no picks or non Mikal/cam contracts and all 4 picks. Now I just think Jones would have included picks with Mikal and Cam, just not all 4. Maybe 2.

Wait, I didn’t even know Sophie got traded. Is she still working for the Suns??
She is with the Indiana Fever now. I think she will be some type of enforcer that has Caitlyn Clark's back. No, she doesn't work for the Suns anymore. Tom Chambers seemed pretty sad about it.

Indiana Fever can have her. Good riddance.

Hey, um, why exactly did we make that trade where we gave away our 2031 1st unprotected for three shitty inferior heavily-swapped 1sts? What exactly was the point of that again??

Draft allergy.

What do you mean? We got our decade worth of picks back by only trading 1

So it’s definitely time to switch gears to roster evaluation right?

I’d honestly waive Tyus Jones(there’s no benefit to playing him anymore). No more Plumlee minutes. Our big 3 don’t need to be playing 40 minutes a game. Cut them back to 30. Play Dunn, Bol, Gillespie, Oso…maybe even TyTy and Jalen. My rotation:

PG: Book -30, Gillespie - 18
SG: Beal - 30, Allen - 18
SF: KD - 30, Royce - 18
PF: Bol - 24, Dunn - 24
C: Richards: 24, Oso - 24

That’s what I want to see.

They foolishly thought it would convince someone to take Beal so we could get Butler.

Ideally, I would like to see KD at zero minutes and not risk his trade value.

Adam Silver would love that, I’m sure.

I guess we can do it if we really injure him.

To clarify: Injure KD, not Silver.

Ideally yes, but there's no way Bud is going to give up yet. We'll probably play Book, KD, and Beal 40 minutes each chasing the 10th seed for a few more weeks. Hope KD can stay healthy; we will really need him this summer as a trade chip.

He should be well motivated. Who doesn’t want to be a trade chip?

Increasing his value as a trade chip doesn’t necessarily increase his chances of being traded, so that’s not much of a motive.

After one game? No. I put the over/under at 6 games before the Grizzlies game.

The fans except for 90% of the folks on this board he means. I used to be the only one defending him and was ridiculed mercilessly.

That quote from KD saying he didn’t want to be traded in the middle of the season because he costs a lot is kinda interesting. Think maybe he learned from being traded to the suns and us having to gut our roster to get him. We had to start Cam Payne, Landry Shamet, and Jock Landale in an elimination game.
