Best part is that we get to see it happen again Friday against the Wolves

This was always supposed to be a loss…though I was hopeful without Tatum we had a shot…in the end, maybe it’s good so we don’t forget this team is still broken.

Well, that wasn't pretty.
Even with Tatum out they couldn't afford a clunker from Booker, especially when noone else (other than Durant) stepped up.

I guess the silver lining is that we held on pretty well for most of the 1st half? A month ago we would've been down 25 by the middle of the 1st and never recovered but we weathered the storm well and kept our composure to keep it close until the middle of the 2nd. The Cs are that good and I don't know that there's much you can do when they're shooting that way from 3. We don't have the offense to keep up or the defenders to keep flying around and run them off the 3 and recover back out.
Thought Bud could've done a better job matching up with the bigs. Can't expect Richards to stick Porzingis and Kornet on the perimeter. Maybe could've gone small with KD or Oso there and tried Richards more on Horford. But even Bud's answer about it being a good test for Richards and trying to figure out when those guys should be on the court...like he still has no feel for the game or his own players. Even doubling to start the game....why?

Our best hope for that stretch is that some of the teams start resting their stars because they've locked in their playoff seeding. Otherwise it is going to be rough.

We can’t beat the Celtics, that’s clear. Timberwolves, Rockets, Warriors, and Knicks are beatable. Milwaukee too…they will be without Dame again and we just beat them. We should be favored vs Kings and Spurs. Thunder is almost definitely a loss, but it’s possible they rest everyone in that game.
Go 2-3 vs those beatable teams, 2-0 vs Kings/Spurs…and hope OKC rests everyone. 5-4 and we finish 40-42

Hopefully this will help stop the “don’t trade KD after all” nonsense.

Game Score Predictions Results:
SunsRIt - Suns by 16
Carno - Suns by 12. Booker leads all scoring with 35.
Kryptonic - firebirds by 12…. Oso and Dunn (sounds like an injury group law firm) go for 12pts each
Split T - Suns by 8, Richards with a 26/14 game is the player of the game.
England Sun - Suns by 6
illmatic - suns by 5
Superbone - Suns by 3; Durant once again leads all scorers with 38.
——————
LazarusLong - Celtics by four.
JeremyG - Celtics by 5
Mori Chu - Celtics by 5
TOO - Celtics by 6
Wally_West - Celtics by 15. Bradley Beal gets injured again. (Ed: tough to do when you’re not playing)
Joke responses (DISQUALIFIED):
Cap - Celtics by 3OT
BOS 132 - PHX 102; Celtics by 30; Wally_West is easily our winner and he only got half the winning margin!

I'm still not too upset with this loss. At least the Suns were giving effort throughout, even if misplaced, unlike the majority of the season. Celtics just showed their superiority as one of the top two or three teams in the league and their elite three point shooting.

I'm not -upset- about the loss. But I do think it shows that our recent resurgence is not one that makes us into some kind of dark horse contender or something. Despite these improvements we will be lucky to barely make the play-in, and even if we somehow win our two (road) play-in games, we would face an almost impossible 1st round series against OKC who would likely grind us into a fine powder.
So I concur with JeremyG who says, we shouldn't let this nice little stretch up-end our offseason retooling plans. Let's not think that this team is suddenly "okay" just because we had a nice week and won 3-4 games.

Ya I agree…a nice little wake up call that we are still far from contender status. I’m still team trade KD as well. I’m hopeful this late season resurgence will boost his value a bit.

I don't think there's anything to worry about. It would take getting to the 8th seed and winning a minimum of two games against OKC to have any affect on our offseason retooling plans. Not likely.
