Do you think Jokic had him fired? Because he's the only one on that roster with that sort of pull.

No, I think a lot of them were tired of being yelled at because Malone is a hard ass much like Mike Brown and Sacramento and they all went above him.

I think Malone is a jerk and I’m not sure he’d mesh with the team either…of course it should be a completely new team anyways.
Yeah I’ve never really liked him, he always threw his players under the bus even when they were clearly outmatched like when they were getting swept by us in 2021.

But if he didn’t do anything bad, it seems pretty disrespectful to fire him right before the playoffs after he’s been with the team that many years and won a championship.

I want to laugh at this, but it made me groan because it's just a little too real and too likely to be actually true. (At least it wouldn't be Mike Brown!)

So.....we gonna hire Mike Malone?
Yep, with Jenkins as our assistant. ;)

If we follow the pattern, we need Kerr before we can hire Malone.

I think Malone is a jerk and I’m not sure he’d mesh with the team either…of course it should be a completely new team anyways.

I half wonder if the Nuggets want Taylor Jenkins
We could probably use a jerk. These guys got away with way too much for the majority of a season.

As Denver continued to struggle, including a home loss to the lowly Wizards, rival teams began to hear that Nikola Jokić’s patience was wearing thin, sources say.

Both Michael Malone and Calvin Booth were fired less than a month later.

I'll summarize for you all: "Firing a coach just before playoffs is unusual." It took Windy two whole minutes to say that very non-insightful statement.

I’d feel a little pain a because good friend is a born Nugs fan, but a Jokic heel turn would set the basketball world a flame. It’d easily be the biggest off court event since The Decision.

Gotta love fan fiction season. This time 6 weeks early!

Saw some reports that Malone fell out of favor with some players because of how he stuck with Westbrook through bad play and mistakes. Turned players off. Here's Jokic on the firings.

That video was beautiful. They really have to fire him. He's going to be run out of town by a mob with pitchforks and burning torches at this point. The Mavs org will have to spend like 5-10 years slowly rebuilding their relationship with their fan base.

Well, the whole conspiracy theory is that it was done to run them out of town and to Vegas. Off to a good start!

Wonder if the nuggets get in on the KD sweepstakes to make Jokic happy. KD to Nuggz, MPJ and Gordon to other teams with those assets to us. Gunna fire up the old trade machine when I get free time. Offseason came early and so will Wally… pause. I mean, like imma make bunch of fake trades not that i come early…
