I mean, the splash trades and hires haven't amounted to jackshit. Hard for me to get up in arms about this hire.

Good question. That will be interesting to track. Not like we had a good reputation before as we got fleeced in the KD trade.Drewsprocket wrote: ↑Fri May 02, 2025 8:51 amGambo mentions Gregory is a development player guy. I wonder if this is the move for a rebuild in near future? Further, doesn’t a newbie GM with little nba experience basically prime other teams to try and fleece us?
They already have been with our newbie owner.Drewsprocket wrote: ↑Fri May 02, 2025 8:51 amGambo mentions Gregory is a development player guy. If he's going with a 1st time GM and we're looking at a 1st time head coach, it's hard to imagine we'll be competing right away. Ishbia insisted we'd always be competitive but these moves would say otherwise.Drewsprocket wrote: ↑Fri May 02, 2025 8:51 amGambo mentions Gregory is a development player guy. He sure seemed to try hard this year being competitive with how he spent money and we were far from competitive.ShelC wrote: ↑Fri May 02, 2025 10:30 amIf he's going with a 1st time GM and we're looking at a 1st time head coach, it's hard to imagine we'll be competing right away. Legit head coaches with experience and championship pedigree meant jack squat.
Louder for those in the back.AmareIsGod wrote: ↑Fri May 02, 2025 12:18 pmLegit head coaches with experience and championship pedigree meant jack squat.
A brand new one to head coaching. That's who. Only 30 NBA head coaching jobs in the world. They are paid well and are in very high demand.
Not a Bickley fan, but hard to disagree. We’re so screwed.Superbone wrote: ↑Fri May 02, 2025 2:45 pmMat Ishbia broke 2 rules naming Brian Gregory the Suns’ new GM

The Suns situation is bad enough to the point that it is a little unbelievable to accept that the personnel to turn drastically improve the situation were already part of the organization.
