Who cares how "great" Markieff feels, The brothers did this to themselves. If he wants to get paid, he'll play. Having a guy like Chandler who is a vocal leader will hopefully hold him accountable.
I personally don't care at all, but now you have to trade him no matter what. He was already a jackass with his brother on the team, just imagine how he will act after this.

Now I'm bummed out that we let Brandan Wright slip away (and on such a reasonable deal, too). He was really good. We should have figured out how to integrate him better and kept him here. Can you imagine a Wright/Chandler frontcourt on defense? Eep! We could have done a limited really big lineup of something like Bledsoe/Tucker/Markieff/Wright/Chandler and just destroyed every team on the glass.

Why do you have to trade him? That's thinking that gets you fleeced in a trade. You keep Kieff unless you can get value for him. He played here without his brother before...The NBA is a Business, we had a glut of SF's....one had to go, the most sensible one was obviously Marcus due to the off the court things as well as him being pretty inefficient on the court and the need to get T.J. mins.

I was a big Brandon Wright fan, but he probably has more value on a contending team. Still it was a great deal for Memphis, he'll really help them.

The Suns next move is probabaly 1 nobody will see coming. This regime is pretty hush hush. Nobody saw the Bledsoe deal coming or Chandler. I wouldn't be surprised If Bledsoe became available again. It's a shame Dallas doesn't have anything we would want back in a trade because they are a PG away from becoming a force in the west...think they would go all out for Bled.

Gambo is saying that Aldridge had his mind made up on SA before FA even started. That wouldn't surprise me.

Who is Gambo's sources? What benefit did he have to drag it out?

I will say this....

1) I like the fact that the suns went for it, you have to go big or go home. LaMarcus Aldridge would of changed everything for this franchise in terms of on the court and how other players viewed us.

2) I probably wouldn't of signed Tyson Chandler on his own. I get what they were trying to do and I really do like TC as a player, but he doesn't move the needle much and he is older with mileage. I think they can probably move him easily though to a contender next off-season when the cap explodes.

Let's go live to Mitch Kupchak. Mitch, how do you feel about how the Lakers are doing in free agency so far?

Not surprised. I just hope they're still aggressive this offseason in attempting to make the team better.

I love the Marcus Morris trade, if only for the reason that it dumps a bad citizen. Anyone else who wants to follow him out the door can feel free.

I agree. I think if the Morris trade happens without the whole Aldridge stuff mixed in, everyones happy. It cleans up the roster a bit and allows something everyone has been clamoring about, more time for younger guys.

Also, just my two cents but the Suns/PHX recruitment of Aldridge (hashtags, banners) seemed kind of bush league. That wasn't going to attract Aldridge.

I think a lot of it is for the fans - giving them an organized outlet to show their support, but I don;t think it's unprofessional.

All in all I think they did a commendable job. For teams that don't get it look at the Lakers and Knicks.

Phoenix pushed him over the edge with that billboard. Nah, who am I kidding. He was most likely going to SA all along. Although, the billboard might have sped up the decision so he wasn't prolonging it for an entire fan base. If Gambo is to be believed, he had his mind set on SA from the beginning. But I get the impression the Suns made a great pitch and it made him seriously consider us.

Question. Do Suns fans now boo Aldridge this season? I don't think so but you know we'll hear them.
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

The pursuit of Aldridge may have been our 15 minutes of fun for this season.

Now signing Chandler to that ridiculous contract and trading for Knight looks really stupid.

Why waste all that time pursuing him then? Meanwhile Ed Davis and Brandan Wright get signed to reasonable contracts. I hope Plan B includes shipping Bledsoe and Markieff off.
