You can make an argument that he's as good as 2nd in the NBA.

I think Steph is clearly the best player right now. The next group of guys (Durant, Westbrook, LeBron, Davis, Tucker, Kawhi) are kind of bunched together.

Reminds me of the time Diamondbacks catcher Chris Snyder got hit in the inopportune spot by a foul tip and suffered a fractured testicle.

Ouch.

Rumor is the Bucks are open to trading Monroe. Would we have interest? What would it take to get him? Are the interested in Kieff? Could we work a 3 team with Tor? This one works in ESPN trade machine, but not sure it is enough to land Monroe:

PHO Out: Chandler, 2016 Cle Rd 1 OR 2017 Mia Rd 1, Kieff
PHO In: Monroe
TOR Out: Patterson, 2016 Rd 1
TOR In: Kieff
MIL Out: Monroe
MIL In: Chandler, Patterson, Tor 2016 Rd 1, Cle 2016 Rd 1 or Mia 2017 Rd 1

I'm not sure it's enough to land Monroe. Thoughts?

Not sure Monroe is a guy you win with. And we took a similar player (one you might not be able to win with) last year at the deadline from the Bucks.

I like Monroe, I think he would pair great with Len playing at the PF. I would be careful about trading away any draft picks, but if we could get away without giving up much more than Morris, I'd be all for it.

You have to keep Chandler and Len (a couple of fairly mobile big men) to pair him with Monroe. Ideally, an stud stretch 4/5 with above average skills defending the rim, but that would be even more expensive to get that Monroe. So if I have to choose between stretch big with lousy skills on defense, and mobile big with limited range but above average rim defense, I'll go for the latter, given how Little Monroe would give us rim protection.

Would the Lakers do a Markieff+ Goodwin + Our pick (Top 3 protected) for a Rusell + Randle trade?
Maybe take Brandon Bass from them if they consider him a burden.

No, they would not.

My tradeline take:

Lakers gets: Markieff+ Goodwin + Our pick (Top 3 protected)
Phoenix gets: Rusell + Randle

then,

Wizards gets: Teletovic (maybe the Cleveland pick if this comes to that, not sure if it's worth it)
Phoenix gets: Otto Porter

and if you like to go deep on a really clean slate, totally dumping mode

Nets receive Bledsoe + Knight
Phoenix gets Joe Johnson + Shane Larkin

We got ultra young and talented, no picks incoming, but neither youngling going out except for Goodwin. We have enough picks for the future, specially if we manage to keep the Cleveland pick away from Wash.

How about just Russell?

My impression is that they would trade Randle before Russell.
