I'd be ecstatic with Crowder. Perfect 3/4 for us. Wouldn't be upset with Bazemore either.
I like both those guys for us too.

Good signing. I was ambivalent about him but my inner cheerleader felt great after watching this.
Edit: I bet Ayton gonna benefit the most from Jae, CP3, and Jalen.

I can’t wait for next season when the Suns trade Ayton, Cam, Crowder, Dario and bajillion-gajillion first rounders for Giannis. I speak it into existence! I speak it!!
Maybe we’re up to something and gonna snag Bogdan...If you sign and trade Baynes at 8.5 million and add Okobo to the deal, you can start his salary at 15 million in the first year. Doubt he wants to come off the bench here though. He can probably start in NY or ATL
You’re very optimistic. I fully expect the suns to pay Carmelo the full MLE.
Haha, I’m trying to be...I think the chances of this are less thsn 1% though.
I really have no clue what we’re doing. Maybe we were waiting for DJ to decide, we’ll see what our backup plan was.
I think the 3/4 rotation of Bridges, Johnson, Crowder with Saric and Smith at 4/5 is great. Get me a solid backup guard and let’s call it a day. If we could snag George Hill from OKC or somehow get Pat Bev on this team (no clue if he’s happy in LA or what his contract even is) would be great.
Are you assuming one/both of Payne/Carter will be gone?
I’d like them both back at cheap deals, but I would prefer we don’t have them as our only/top options. I think they’re good back end of the bench players that had a great bubble performance.
Ok, still like it. But now i m afraid of Ariza 2.0
Nah, he’s not Ariza. Crowder plays hard and we’re a good team.
Yeah, Crowder isn't going to mail it like Ariza. But it is a move that has shades of Ariza because they are fundamentally the same type of player: role player from playoff team that isn't productive or offers quality play. Just a rep of being a role player that knows how to win. Danny Green has turned into that too.
At least we have options if Crowder isn’t good. We didn’t have options for Anderson/Ariza sucking...and did we actually think Anderson was gonna be good? I didn’t. That was just a swap of bad contracts(Knight for Anderson) Ariza was very disappointing.
Exactly. Everything is not analogous to another situation. These are different players. INF gonna be INF.
Crowder will be fine. He plays hard and will do the dirty work as a physical defender. Good ballhandler who can guard multiple positions, can hit the 3, playoff experience. A lot of different lineups we can throw out there now big, small or in between. Really happy about this one.
Crowder is a great signing. He’s exactly the type of player I wanted to replace Oubre. Cheaper replacement with far higher value compared to cost, lower usage, smarter on defense, toughness with a good work ethic and decent/above average from 3.
It’s pretty clear the type of team Jones is trying to assemble (don’t you dare respond with “yeah, mediocre” inf). He’s got a clear identity for this roster, which is much more than I could say for any GM really since D’Antoni left.
I’m really happy with our moves overall. I would have preferred FVV at 21m over Paul at 40, but I can at least see a plan and purpose. And MLe for crowder is hardly an overpay. Overpaying a player like Bertrans or Gallo is what will kill teams.
Yep, yep, yep. You're just happy he won't do push ups after a hustle play leaves him on the deck.
