We've signed Earl Barron to a 10 day.

I'd rather have T-Rob tbh. But we already have 2 FOE, can see why a 3rd would be unwanted.

Damnit. I made that favorite current suns player poll before I knew the Duke of Earl was returning. Forgive me. :)

Think of the damage they could do (off the court).
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

So Gambo was just going off on IT. It was he who sold the Suns a line of bullshit & not the other way around, supposedly. He was signed to be "6th man of the year" & IT agreed. Only he gets into the game & refuses to run the offense. It sounds like those early reports of players refusing to run Jeff's offense weren't untrue.

Interesting. Seeing as negativity is contageous, trading Goran/IT might actually make us better. I doubt we'll make the PO's, but hopefully we see less selfishness and hero ball.

Remember when Thomas missed like 9 games earlier this year and originally it started out as like a day to day thing. His ankle or something....but I always thought there was something fishy bout that. Never heard how he got hurt and there was almost nothing surrounding the injury. Wonder there was more tot hat then an injury.

McD & Babbys comments may of been just as much about IT as they were Goran.

You mean Jeff didn't want him passing only as a last resort or means of getting the ball back?

I won't miss Isaiah Thomas. He's talented but he is not a winning basketball player.

carey wrote:The front office has known Goran was upset dating back to last year. The Suns felt like his good season meant he was happy. They pushed their luck with the IT signing but did it as Bledsoe cover. They said the list was bullshit. Duffy worked out him going to Miami and it was all posturing to get Miami to cough up the 2nd pick and to find a way to not take back future salary obligations keeping cap space in tact for the Summer.
if goran listed down the teams he really wanted to play for, he'd end up like pau gasol, satisfied, but lowballed by his employers (7mil/year for 3 yrs contract).

he may end up like frye in florida, slightly overpaid, but unhappy with the team's direction (bosh out for good). the good news though is that he can walk away from miami next season.

Earl has always put up grest numbers in other leagues but he just gets stage fright in thr NBA. He has had several opportunities.

Yeah, I kind of feel bad for him. He routinely destroys the D-League posting 15-20 rebound games all the time cleaning up scrub players misses. I'm glad he gets to come up to the squad for a while though I do think seeing what T-Rob can do may have been smarter. If not that is a big whiff on my part because watching him in Kansas I thought for sure he'd be better than the Morris twins.

I think it would be a mistake to combine the entire FOE threesome.

Lately, we are all about putting semi-redundant trio's together so I'm sure T-Rob is on his way.

If by mistake you mean completely awesome, then I 100% agree.

That FOE stuff is the only thing that keeps me from 100% wanting TRob. He has his flaws but also a lot of energy, rebounds and I don't know if there is a PF who runs the floor better than him. He has always looked 'tiny' for a PF to me, though.

In baseball they call the "AAAA players" - guys who dominate against minor league competition but aren't good enough to make it in the big time.

Barron is basically a body for practice and an insurance policy in case somebody missed time with an injury. If we have to count on him to play significant minutes we're in big trouble.

Also - when the Suns signed Barron they also waived Kendall Marshall and John Salmons.

How many times do you have to get rid of a bad 1st round pick anyway?
