Re: 2015 NBA Draft
Funny off-topic. RealGM still lists the Suns retaining the draft rights to Milos Vujacic and Ron Ellis. Milos is 34 years old now and not playing. Ellis is 47 years old and probably living, I think. I think its safe to say we won't be signing or trading them.

Givony's latest mock has us selecting Myles Turner: http://www.draftexpress.com/nba-mock-draft/2015/

I think the chances of Turner falling to us are quite high. And I'm starting to think we might not trade him on draft night, either.

Re: 2015 NBA Draft
I like Cameron Payne alot. Admittedly, I only got to see him play twice in the OVC tourney, but he was by far the best player on the court and now he is turning heads in pre-draft workouts.
For those of you who don't know he is the PG out of Murry State.

“Kobe had said (after the play) I wasn’t hugged enough as a child,” Bell recalled. “My mom kind of found him after the instance and we had beat them and offered him a hug in the bowels of the Phoenix arena. She really feels a part of that story.”

Yes. I've said he's the PG I like the most in the draft.Sunsfan4life wrote:I like Cameron Payne alot. Admittedly, I only got to see him play twice in the OVC tourney, but he was by far the best player on the court and now he is turning heads in pre-draft workouts.

I think Kristaps is the best prospect, with Mario a close second. I think Harrell is the best big man around mid-draft area. I think Booker is the best pure shooter. His stroke is compact and effortless. I think we'll come out with a good player.
Fwiw Givony has us taking Dakari Johnson with #44.

Re: 2015 NBA Draft
I'm on board with Kristapas. I haven't done as much homework on heriozinga. I really want the suns tot ry and engage the Knicks on Bledsoe for #4 talks. I'm not saying it would happen but just a phone cal could get their attention. Winslow has been gaining hype, and deservedly so, but people forget about Mudiay just because he went oversees.
I'd probably take Turner over harrell. The player I've seen us most linked too is Devin Booker.

Re: 2015 NBA Draft
I LOVE Russell. I think at worst, he's the next Brandon Roy.
Re: 2015 NBA Draft
High praise. Roy was legit. If that's his floor they could have 13 and whoever they want on our roster not named Len.Shabazz wrote:I LOVE Russell. I think at worst, he's the next Brandon Roy.

Re: 2015 NBA Draft
Turner has reportedly been looking very good lately, recovering from his hip injury that made him run with a funny gait. He's back to being the athlete he was prior to college, where he was often thought of as the #1 player in his class. If that's the case and he falls to the Suns, that would be a huge get at 13. And if they could trade Bledsoe for the #4 and pick up Mudiay or Porzingis, even better.

I would be very happy with Turner which means he will gone by our pick.In2ition wrote:Turner has reportedly been looking very good lately, recovering from his hip injury that made him run with a funny gait. Coro has us taking Turner. He also has Booker and WCS going really high and Kaminsky going #11 to Utah.

Re: 2015 NBA Draft
That's a big bummer on all 3 of those guys.A few names the Suns did not or were not able to bring in for a workout that may fall in the late-lottery range -- depending on which mock draft is studied -- were Kentucky freshman center Willie Cauley-Stein, Murray State sophomore Cameron Payne and Texas freshman center Myles Turner.

He's not as athletic as Roy, but he's got a very similar skill set.

Roy had a little more size, but Russel's athleticism is underrated. I think he's also a better shooter and passer.Split T wrote:Shabazz wrote:I LOVE Russell. I think at worst, he's the next Brandon Roy.
