Harry Giles would be a steal if he can get 100% healthy again.

Not sure he'll ever be 100% again.

He's getting better as the season is going, but you might be right.

Without having watched the games and only reading random pundits, how does Kennard compare to Hornacek? It feels like he's one of those overlooked solid guys that I wouldn't mind having on my team. Giles feels like this year's Labissiere. If we move up with Knight and a second for a first rounder, that's actually a pretty sweet scenario (naturally I'd prefer to use the Raptors' second rounder). I'd definitely take a chance on Giles or grab a (what seems to be) chemistry guy in Kennard. No interest in Allen whatsoever.

I don't think there's much of a chance to move up in the draft with Knight alone.

I have been thinking this. He might be one worth packaging our two second round picks and maybe a future one to move up into the end of the first round to get. That early second round pick is more valuable to some teams than a late first.

Ha ha. For sure! You know they're going to have some fun with this on TNT. Did you check out the Ball rebuttal? Krispe Kreme donuts were mentioned.

Unsure if already posted. Too many mentions of "Ball" in the search tool.

What bothers me about this the most isn't so much his shot (even though it's awful,) it's that he turns the ball over 32% of the time in pick & roll situations. That's a play PGs run almost every time down the floor to an extent.

That was the first I've seen him. Scary that he can't go right and hit a jumper. Also, he's a terrible FT shooter although I would hope that could be fixed.

He is a very intriguing but flawed player at this point. I guess it all depends on how much you think he can be fixed because his athleticism and floor vision are both elite.

I also found this video by the same guy about Devin Booker. It was made right at the beginning of the season. That scout is very high on him (as he should be.)

Edit: The guy said Booker would average 6 more minutes per game this year and he almost nailed it. He's averaging 6.9 minutes more.

That's a great breakdown on Ball. I like BBall Breakdown quite a bit.

I'm not worried about Ball's ft%. It's actually not bad for a college freshman. I'm only a little worried about Ball in the pick and roll. As the coach points out, UCLA doesn't practice that play, and they almost never run it in games. Anyone who can see the floor, dribble, and pass like Ball will be fine once he starts working on that skill. The pullup jumpers to the right are a hole in his game that he will always have to work around.

I don't know man. Lonzo doesn't exactly have a tight handle. He likes to play fast, in the open court. He'd be ten times more valuable if there were four hoops on a court ten times as large with three times as many players. :ugeek:

Don't they have a lot of 1-and-1 free throws in college? Where the player misses the first one and then doesn't get to shoot the second one, which presumably would have been more likely to go in due to being warmed up?

Lonzo won't be able to shoot in the NBA unless it's a set shot. It will dramatically impact him and the rest of the offense. That's a huge concern for me. Think about Shawn and LB...his form is 100 times worse.

Also, his father is going to be a pain in the ass for any team. Let him go to the Lakers.

Assuming Ball is still available when we draft and Fultz is not, I would strongly consider taking him. Let Ball run the fast break, and let Booker run the halfcourt offense. Ball can spot up from the corner, and look to cut if his guy falls asleep.

I think there's a good chance that it's a moot point. Ball may well be gone when we pick.
