So the Bulls would jump to 2 and lose a young big in Carter, presumably to take Wiseman and then the Ws would maybe go young swing with Deni? I've read Patrick Williams is moving up but 4 feels too high. If Toppin is there would they take another big or a bigger guard in Hali?
That seems like a great trade for the Warriors. Carter is still a work in progress, but that's good return in a draft where #2 and #4 are identical.

Ya I don’t get the teams giving up good pieces to trade up in this draft. If I’m the bulls I just stay pat. And take whoever falls to me.

WCJ has not showed to be exactly a
good piece (and has missed half of his two seasons since drafted). I wouldn't lament using him to trade up if I got my guy (especially if it was a big like Wiseman). Teams are not going to give up a #2 pick easily in any case.

Fair, I still like Carter though. Don’t think he was used correctly in Chicago. Wiseman is the one guy I could understand trading up for, but if I’m Chicago, I just take Haliburton at 4. He gives them a guard who actually can pass to go along with their scorers(Lavine/White)

You definitely have to put qualifiers on WCJ. The injuries are a concern, and he doesn't have much impact on O. But he's still just 21, he rebounds well, tries to defend, and his shot looks like it will come along. Teams probably still remember that he was a good passer in college. At this point is he a worse prospect than the kids in the draft?

That would be a great trade for Golden State.
I think the Bulls target is Lamelo.

So many picks for OKC. Probably getting 18 from Dallas as well.

It's kind of amazing to watch the picks pouring in to OKC.

All these picks are great if you can package them for stars or higher picks, but at some point the law of diminishing returns kicks in. Boston has 3 picks this year and doesn't have the roster space to take in rookies. That hurts leverage to try and move up.

If OKC keeps all those guys then Rubio, SGA, Oubre, Horford and Adams isn't a bad lineup at all. They'll be tough for sure. Presti is pretty damn good.

I’d package them together to target higher ceiling prospects. Start with next years draft. Then once you’ve got a core of 3 young guys you love. Use the rest to hunt established stars.

I don’t think they’d defend all that well. Not a lot of space to operate either. They’d be respectable, but not good in the west. And no depth.

I feel like they're turning into the Spurs where every year you're like "meh, they fell off" and then they go and win 50 games and are a 6 seed.

It does feel that way.

They did that last year, but I think people only thought they’d fall off because they assumed they’d trade CP3 earlier. They were still better than expected, but I think most thought they could be a playoff team if they kept the team they had.

Somehow they acquired a sneaky decent team that will win 35-40 games and be fun to watch, while also acquiring 57 draft picks over the next 7 years. Great management by them and a great job rebuilding on the fly after a contender fell apart.

I don’t think there’s anyway that team wins 35-40 games. Even if we had a full 82 game season. Of course I also doubt they keep a few of those guys around, so we’ll probably never know.
