When you trade for arguably the world's best player and mortgage your future for it, the only benchmark is a championship. One title will justify the trade, given we've never won. Two titles will shut everyone up about everything (Was the trade worth it? Can KD win on his own? Is Book a winner/superstar?)
I hated Durant for joining the champion Warriors. I'll forgive him if we win the championship.

I guess I’m just wondering how everyone here would feel in those situations. If we don’t win a title during the KD years will you look back and call the trade a mistake? What if we are in the finals 2/4 years and are in the WCF all 4?

So 4 years from now what will we have had to accomplish for you to not wish we hadn’t made the trade?
It doesn't matter. It is done. I'm just going to try to enjoy the ride. No matter what, I'm not going to live in regret in the future. Our new owner went for it. Props for that. Now, if we Saver would have just signed Joe Johnson...

Yes.

The ultimate goal is to make moves to win a championship. If that didn’t happen, it was an object failure. Whether it’s that trade or the rest of the moves or the coaching, we failed.

There are no moral victories. Moral victories are for teams and fanbases that are used to losing. A bunch of sad sacks
What do you think we are?

Why worry about 4 years from now? Suns have done something we've been waiting for, got a superstar to pair with Booker, got an owner that seems committed to winning, these are supposed to be happy times.
THIS!

Good decision, bad decision, at least it was a basketball decision with an attempt at winning and not savings/financial

I wasn’t worrying..it was just curious to see what expectations were. I expect to contend for a title over the next 4 years.

Who does this stupid guy think he is. Flex, what kind of name is this? What a jerk, to think he knows anything. People are so foolish.

I don’t think anyone questions that Flex has had some info…he got the CP3 scoop too. I think it’s his Suns can do no wrong and everything is great attitude. He feels like he has to correct anyone that says anything remotely negative about the suns.

He's definitely a glass half full type guy that is a cheerleader for the team, but there were some salty characters that talked ish about him and his knowledge or contacts. It felt like it was mostly out of some weird jealousy.

Ya the Flex haters take it too far I think as well…I appreciate his inside information…just gotta figure out when he’s reporting and when he’s not. I don’t need to be told how to feel about the suns

So no TJ Warren for the Kings game?

Do they need to have a press conference before he plays?

Maybe they want to have the presser after Warren and Bazley play, so that they don’t have to include them in it and just make it all about KD. :P

I don’t see any reason Warren wouldn’t be in the lineup Tuesday night. The Twins played yesterday.

I just speculating, but maybe waiting until Thursday for the press conference is just a courtesy for the Cardinals who are supposed to announce their new head coach on Tuesday, probably have a press conference too. Apparently, it’s the eagles DC, Jonathan Gannon. :?

Doing it Thursday gives the cardinals a couple news days before AZ sports news get dominated by Durant again. 8-)

Going with a DC when you really need to start getting the most out of your QB while in his prime is a choice.

The press conference for Warren and Bazley is today, and no, you don't need to hold a press conference before they play, they just have to pass their physical and have the trade approved (as we have seen over the weekend with Golden State and Portland).

Durant is still out with a knee sprain, diagnosed about a month ago and due for a re-evaluation soon - so hopfully he's on schedule for recovery and should be available soon.

Hope Bazley and Warren can play against the Kings tomorrow. That way TJ can get injured before KD even has his press conference.
