I would honestly rather have Ayton than Zion. Zion is an insane basketball talent, but he's made of glass. I think he's just too bulky to be able to stay on an NBA court. There's always the possibility that he has an Embiid-like career, where his first few years are marred by injuries but he eventually figures it out and manages to have a great set of prime years. But I haven't seen the discipline and ethic from Zion to indicate that he's willing and able to stay in shape, take his rehab seriously, take care to avoid injury, etc. I think it's more likely that he's on a Greg Oden trajectory where he'll bounce around a bit and be hurt for most of a few more years and then be out of the league. Quote me on this post in a few years if I'm wrong, but I would not want to be stuck with Zion on a long-term contract given the health issues.
Folks thought I was crazy when I mentioned this two years ago. But he is built like a top heavy Larry Johnson, not a bottom heavy Charles Barkley. He will break down.

But if he could stay healthy...wow. Only thing better would be to have a pre-injury Amare.

Zion is top and bottom heavy, not sure how you can look at him and think he's not 80% backside.

Yes, go far away from Denver, I hear the eastern conference is nice this time of year.

Very clever from the almost nonagenarian.

Yeah, that would be a key loss for Denver.

Looks like the first apron will be very close to the $171.5M I estimated, and the second apron should be about $182.5M.

Doesn’t really matter for us anymore unless we try and trade Ayton into cap space. Saves Ishbia some money though.

They have to add someone to Brogdon’s salary, probably Horford.

Looks like the Suns turned down their offer of Brogdon/Williams or Brogdon/Horford.

What if it becomes a 4-team trade? Paul to Clippers, Ayton to Wizards, and Brogdon and Zubac to Phoenix? :P

I’d love that, but not sure Clippers would. Brogdon is better than Paul at this point

Yeah, Clippers would definitely need more.

I wanted to trade Ayton for him 3 months ago. He’s a far better fit for what this roster needs.
