For those of you who don't know he is the PG out of Murry State.
Yes. I've said he's the PG I like the most in the draft.

I think Kristaps is the best prospect, with Mario a close second. I think Harrell is the best big man around mid-draft area. I think Booker is the best pure shooter. His stroke is compact and effortless. I think we'll come out with a good player.

Fwiw Givony has us taking Dakari Johnson with #44.
I don't get the hype about Booker's shot. It looks quite flat to me.

Turner is an interesting prospect. I have liked WCS and Kaminsky but neither of them maybe available. I like Looney, but if his projection is a SF, its not ideal.

So here is the deal with Turner. He has the size, frame, shooting, and defending instincts. If our training staff can correct his gait issue with strength training, and often it can be corrected with that, he could be a great, great, pick. Honestly, if its a strength issue, it can be accomplished quite easily, I have seen it before. If its a structural issue, he is a career injury list prospect.

I am quite encouraged by this draft. There are going to be alot of good prospects available in the middle of the first round.

The Suns. Alex Len and Brandan Wright
Not for long. Wright is hightailing it out of here.

Is this just your prediction or did you see someone say something that indicated this?

JC: I don't have a quote handy, but there have been a lot of quotes talking about our future core where Wright's name has been conspicuously absent. Also he got very few minutes down the stretch, and I think there was an end-of-season interview where he implied that he didn't think he'd be back. Does anybody else have the quote?

Hmmm. http://www.brightsideofthesun.com/2015/ ... ight-green
  • "Being called young is pretty much over with. We got to take the next step."
(on team) "A good, young, talented group that can grow together."
  • "I like Jeff as a coach, the front office is trying to make this a strong organization. Jeff did a good job as far as roster turnover, he did the best he could."
  • On whether the Suns expressed wanting him back: "I think so." he said with a smile.
  • Said he would like to come back.
  • Thinks he can provide more leadership next year with a full year with team. "I think it would be huge. I think we (with Danny Granger) could lead by example. Obviously, we've been on some playoff teams in the past, we can bring some of those qualities. Most of these guys have never been in the playoffs."
Go Suns!

It wouldn't surpise me, but my sense was that they were going to look at the draft and who else is available in free agency and keep all their options open. I think Wright has a good chance of being back depending on everything else that happens.

Thats what they should do anyway.

I quite like the 5 spot with Len/Wright and hope we can keep it intact. I'd gladly move Tucker if we need some extra $ to retain BW.

It's a very "meh" time to be a Suns fan right now. Not a ton to get excited about.

As of today, we're probably in the lower tier of West teams. Definitely not a playoff team. We have no transcendent talents, let alone likeable "stars." Our best young talent is a level or two below the best young talent on the other non-playoff teams in the West. The front office seems to think we're just missing veteran leadership. There are some intriguing players at #13, but probably no one that makes an immediate dent.

The older I get, the less emotionally invested I can be in what seems like another ride on the malaise train. That's just me.

So we all feel the same way basically. I feel like we usually have at least one optimistic poster at any given time. Who is it? Show yourself!

A couple things to add:

1. It's natural for people to leave a message board over time. But for various reasons, this place can't attract new blood (it's moved too much, no longer has azcentral to scoop posters from, and other websites like realgm are easy to find). So, fewer posters.

2. But then, even for what might otherwise be a thriving message board, some problems. This FO doesn't give up any information whatsoever, no intrigue, nada. I get it, but it dampens the conversation about your team in times like these.

3. I ****ing love the draft. But you know, when your coach has demonstrated such extraordinary reluctance to play rookies even when their play merits time, then I, as a fan, start to divest from the draft process. No matter who we pick, we won't see them for at least a year.

4. Seems pretty clear we'll take one of Turner, Payne or Johnson. Since there are no rumors about moving around in the draft, that leaves little to talk about.

I personally believe that this run of criminal behavior by Suns players will stop well short of genocide. There's my optimism.

It's such a drag after how I felt last off-season.

What they said. There's no motivation to be a fan. Bledsoe plateaued, Knight is a nice player but we'll be playing him at the 2 where he doesn't belong. I loath the Morris Bros, Len has yet to show he's a starting center. What's left? PJ Tucker? Archie? TJ? And now, another 13th pick.

The talent doesn't mesh, we have middling starters and a coach who doesn't seem to know what to do with them. So yea, great place to be as a fan.

I'm not even that intrigued with the draft, at least where we're drafting.

I was a big Dragic fan so how that went down really soured me. I'm not happy with Bledsoe as lead guard for 70 Mil. I don't like how we bowed down to him and overpaid him in my eyes. Then he just doesn't know how to lead a team and is not a very good PG. I don't like how the Morris twins are tied at the hip. I think Marcus gets too much time at the expense of our young guys. Then the whole Morris beat down really turned me off to them. I like Hornacek but I'm not happy with how selfishly the team plays and obviously, that's not Hornacek's style so it appears that he is unable to get these guys to play how he wants. That's very concerning.

Other than that, everything is just peachy.
