I like Brotato, but my old eyes have trouble sometimes identifying what's a bullet/enemy so I take accidental deaths. Somehow Vampire Survivors works for my eyes and I usually know what's trying to hit and kill me, but in Brotato I suddenly die and don't know why. But Brotato has much better enemy variety and AI/logic than Vampire Survivors, which is just "walk directly toward the player and waddle around" for all enemy types.
The best of these kinds of games currently, for me, is Deep Rock Galactic Survivor.

I'll admit... I was late to this franchise and didn't start playing it till Monster Hunter: World (and the Iceborne DLC) and absolutely love it. Really good time and easy to pick up. Launches tonight....
Im just saying… watch out for me and my hoonicorn! That thing is an out of control beast.
Hoonigan was so cool until it was bought by a private equity firm. RIP Ken Block.
Agreed… it’s nothing without Block. RIP. Died way too soon…. The guy really knew how to push a car and seemed like such a cool dude. Loved the Gymkhana series and if anyone hasn’t seen it…. Google it and you’re in for a treat.

Lately I have been mostly just playing simple games with my kids. Vampire Survivors, Slay the Spire, and Jelly Car Worlds. My son is also getting into Minecraft, but honestly I don't know how to play that and just watch him as he builds.

StS is the best! I love Balatro but StS still takes the cake.
