Think I’m a little more open to Love…he could help us as a backup 5. He’s not the defender Biyombo is..or probably even Landale, but it’s tough to watch Biyombo on offense sometimes and I don’t think Landale will hold up defensively in the playoffs anyways. Might as well get the better offensive player.

I think he could be pretty good doing all the stuff Saric did with the second unit a couple of years ago. He's always been a very good passer and could play that "connector" role, if he'd be willing to just take on a reduced 15-18 minute a night thing.

Ya I agree, if he can find his shot again he could fill the Saric role well

Well, Saric never found his shot either.
Seriously, it was a roller coaster watching him let it fly, except the “don’t give up on me yet” occasional shooting game.

Yep. It's better your bench can fill it up and let it some easy ones than to have mediocre defenders who can't score a lick.

Every time we were convinced Saric can’t play, he play a string of 2-3 games where he made a difference. Then would slowly slump off into oblivion.

I really hope we win the championship this year and take advantage of Okogie’s career year because we ain’t gonna be able to afford that cat next year lol

We can keep him, think we’ll just have to use the TPMLE to sign him. The most we can give him in an extension right now would be a starting salary of 2.2 million. The TPMLE should be just under 7 million next year, so we could give him up to a 3 year 22 million dollar deal. That’s what I’d offer with a PO on the 3rd year. Of course how he plays over the next few months will help dictate that.
I really wish we could renegotiate his current deal and use the current TPMLE to extend him and keep next years TPMLE for someone else, but I’m pretty sure that’s not allowed.

Okogie has been an outstanding signing by Jones. As underwhelming as his off-season was, that was a good value find.

I think both Okogie and D.Lee were great additions for what they were. I don’t think he could’ve made any bigger moves and kept flexibility for A Durant trade. And aren’t we glad he stayed patient?

JJ gets patience of the year award for sure.

Not really. From all reports this is the deal BKN was demanding all along. JJ didn’t “win” anything by staying patient. Ishbia just came in and put his nuts to the fire and said use them or lose them.

I think we should have said Mikal, CamJ, Saric, and 3 1sts. Take it now or Mikal is off the table in the summer. Or offer the 4 1sts but switch CamJ with Crowder. I think Brooklyn would have caved. But, that’s easier to say after the fact. I understand Ishbia didn’t want to get left with nothing.

Any of the G Leaguers worth taking a pass at (and available)?

From that screenshot, they look a little undersized to me.
