I disagree. He needs shots. Like nearly 20 per game. He isn't a strong rebounder, nor a gifted defender. He offers more rim protection, but that's about it. Porzingis first, and foremost, is a scorer, and I think that's the last thing this team needs, especially at the 5.

I would’ve agreed before watching him this past season. He’d be much better spacing the court on offense and protecting the rim than Ayton. Much like Ayton, a lot of his rebounds just come from being the biggest guy on the court, so not much of a drop in total rebounds. KP is also a much smarter player than Ayton with better ball skills and passing instincts.

Porzingis had a PO that he had to opt into by midnight. Not sure if that's where it fell thru but they can't trade him if he opts to test FA. Might've been other factors tho.
