I am pretty optimistic!!! All you guys are just bunch Sad Sandys. Watch, 10-15 years from now, we will be competing for like 4 or 5th seed in the playoffs again and we will see who is laughing then.

Then he just doesn't know how to lead a team and is not a very good PG. I don't like how the Morris twins are tied at the hip. I think Marcus gets too much time at the expense of our young guys. Then the whole Morris beat down really turned me off to them. I like Hornacek but I'm not happy with how selfishly the team plays and obviously, that's not Hornacek's style so it appears that he is unable to get these guys to play how he wants. That's very concerning.

Other than that, everything is just peachy.
100% agree. I'm most bummed about Hornacek I think. Because I liked him a lot as a coach in 2013-14, but with what happened this year, it seemed like he just wasn't able to control the team or to get the guys to do what he wanted, to play the right way, to be unselfish. I feel like it's shaken my confidence in the team. I don't hate Horny or want him fired, but I feel like the roster has demonstrated that they're unwilling to be taught by him. And so I can't really be hopeful that any of our existing players' problems will get better next year, since most of those problems are exactly these kinds of things like selfishness, ballhogging, not trying hard on defense, bad shooting, and so on. I'd still be somewhat optimistic about our team if I felt like we were likely to see improvement from within, gradual maturation and improvement from our existing guys. But they aren't convincing me that they have any interest in doing so.

It was a bad locker room. The year before it was great. Two things happened. IT really stirred things up. He did it in Sacramento too. And Goran felt free to be very unhappy. That impacted Bledsoe AND the Morris brothers. I am not sure any of that could be controlled by anyone. I am amazed he won as many games as he did given the conditions. I am expecting better things this year.

Optimism is good for your health. I never understood the attraction of overwhelming pessimism.

I have a theory that the 3rd season really tells the tale with coaches. Often there's a bit of a honeymoon period in the first season, which can be followed by the kind of drop-off in the 2nd year the Suns had.
Even if there isn't that drop off, by the 3rd season they tend to find their level, or you see if they can keep the players on side (and not burn them out Scott Skiles style).
So I'll be super interested to see how Hornacek goes next season.

The concerning part of this post is that Superbone is normally very optimistic of the team so if he's expressing discontent it's bad. By the way, Superbone droppin' truth nukes...

Pretty much. I hope he's doin' alright, I always looked for his take on the draft prospects so it kinda sucks he's not around to give his opinion, but I understand why he's not.

"It was a bad locker room. The year before it was great."

The loss of Frye was huge. He was one of the faces of the franchise, a hometown guy and a college hero of sorts at UofA.

In his place, the Morris twins were promoted by management (Babby) ... two guys who we now know could not lead starving wolves to raw meat. Bledsoe also became a lynchpin of the franchise. Bled is a unique talent, but sort of a lone wolf rather than a leader. Babby- (and Blanks-) led management seriously misunderstand team chemistry and how to support/select team leaders. Let's hope McD doesn't make similar mistakes.
Well, so much for hopes and dreams ...

How is this going to be spun where the Suns caused the injury and then couldn't diagnose it correctly?

I'm not sure they ever looked at it. He supposedly called it "a little spill" when talking to the media after the workout. I'm not sure anyone knew he was in significant pain.

Hmm, maybe the Morri are involved? We sure this dude didn't text their mom before the workout?

The Morrii are laying low. I haven't heard a peep out of them since the season ended. Usually we always read about how they're in Phoenix working out.
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

That was due to Babby-speak, the volume to which has recently been reduced.

Myles Turner does not come across as the brightest bulb in this interview.

IMO, neither the Heat nor the Pacers are in a position to take a boom/bust prospect. The Jazz might, but would they really leave Stan Johnson on the board?

I think we'd probably take any of Booker, Payne and Johnson before Turner.

I thought he came across fine in that interview. At this stage, he's the player I hope we pick

Still rooting for Booker personally, we need a knockdown shooter in the worst way.

I called this one before the lottery. :crosses fingers: I really don't have a target at 4, but I have enough faith in McD to think that a top pick would end up better than Bledsoe in time.

I think we'd take Porzingis, but maybe Hezonja.

I do think, if the Knicks are intent on "winning now", as they always are, Bledsoe would be a step in that direction despite his lack of skills in the triangle. Young veteran player giving them a boost at a position of need who can play with Melo and they'd still have the 13th to maybe grab a guy like Turner. It's tricky tho if the deal has to be made after the draft because they'd have to draft a guy we want at 4 and vice versa with 13. And, like the GS situation with Curry, if there's someone they like at 4 they didn't expect to be there (Russel?) or if the guy they wanted at 13 isn't there, the deal could fall thru.

I don't know what makes you think Bledsoe wouldn't fit on a Phil Jackson team. Eric's not a great spot up shooter, but Phil's focus at the 1, historically, seems to be defense. Eric strongly resembles Derek Fisher physically, and is one of the best defensive PG's in the game. I think he fits fine next to Melo. I'm not an expert in the triangle, but I don't see why Bled wouldn't work.
