What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton
Re: Suns News: The Offseason (2015)
They had the team option and chose not to renew Hill and they just lost Davis so I have no earthly idea who would play center on that team. Maybe Robert Sacre?Split T wrote:Wouldn't LMA be a center on lakers anyway, at least part time. I guess Jordan hill can start, but Randle is definitely a 4

No rockets?
“Kobe had said (after the play) I wasn’t hugged enough as a child,” Bell recalled. “My mom kind of found him after the instance and we had beat them and offered him a hug in the bowels of the Phoenix arena. She really feels a part of that story.”

Rockets would have a tough time making it work financially. They'd almost definitely have to give up Trevor ArizaSunsfan4life wrote:No rockets?

I knew he was going to the Spurs before the Finals even started. Not sure why anyone in Phoenix got their hopes up.

Yeah. I don't think it's the best move though. Pop is 66. How long do you think he'll coach? How long is Duncan there? 1 more year? It just seems an odd choice though I guess they are hoping they will be able to lure another guy to play there in a year when the cap goes up and Duncan retires. Noah maybe?Flagrant Fowl wrote:I knew he was going to the Spurs before the Finals even started. Not sure why anyone in Phoenix got their hopes up.
My next question is... what PF is out there we can chase? Or do we roll with Markieff and try to be buyers at the trade deadline? I think you almost have to move Markieff now. I really hope they don't throw $$ at Tobias Harris. I don't like the guy and he's not a PF by any means.

I think we are gonna roll with Markieff but I'm suspect about that tweet. It came from a Rockets insider, it's not a foregone conclusion he's gonna sign with San Antonio, although that has been the favorite. I read that in order to sign LMA the Spurs will have to sign Duncan for 5 mill a year, that's ridiculous. You can't compete against that.
Re: Suns News: The Offseason (2015)
How likely is it that we saw the LMA chase as *also* a pretext to make moves we wanted to make, but would make our players uncomfortable?

Really? Some twat with the name "Rocketguy" that we've never heard of chimes in and we throw in the towel? He may go to SA, but if it was a slam dunk he would of signed already. Their the leaders Suns have the 2nd best odds IMO.Flagrant Fowl wrote:I knew he was going to the Spurs before the Finals even started. Not sure why anyone in Phoenix got their hopes up.

A good salary dump. There was no way that Granger was going to play up to his salary, and Bullock did not seem to be panning out in the short term. Mook -- well, we got the second rounder for him, and got him off the team.
And also a good move separating the Twins. Markieff can cry all he wants. If he and his brother had been behaving, the Suns would not have split them up.

I'm so happy that Marcus is gone that I don't care that much if we don't get LMA. I'm cool with rolling with Markieff but we need a legitimate backup PF.
