It may not be the max, just more money than we are willing to give and more years than other teams like Houston offered.
I can't see it unless it is for the max or close enough to it. The guy demands money to irrational extents and seems willing to blow up a perfect situation (at least on the court) to get it. Moreover, Minni already has another highly regarded PG so it's not like he is pulling a JJ and getting a team to himself and close to home.

From what i understand the Suns FO hasnt budged a bit from their original offer and thats what is upsetting Bledsoe and his Agent. We know that Bledsoe is stuck in a very tight spot now that all the FA money in the rest of the league has dried up, and we know that we dont have to pay him more than what we already offered him.

Bledsoe wants the max, but would be willing to accept a bit less, but we arnt giving him that choice. We are hardlined, here is our offer, take it or leave it and get your $3.4M QO with the chance of getting re-injured and missing all that money.

As for the Wolves, they would plug Bledsoe in at the SG spot. He helps cover all of Rubio's weaknesses. He can score in and out of the paint and he is an excellent defender. He also has the playmaking skills and rebounding like Rubio as well. They need a defender in the backcourt as Rubio and Martin absolutely suck in that department and employ a turnstile defense.

Basically, Bledsoe just wants to get paid. He is like a mercenary, he will go wherever, as long as the money is right. Im sure he would love to stay with the Suns, but the money isnt right. If Minnesota is willing to pay him 2-4 million dollars more a year, then he would be proud to call himself a Timberwolve.

TBH, I'd be happy with LaVine and taking a shot on Bennett for Bledsoe. Wiggins seems like a pipe dream, and Wiggins+? Well that is a unicorn, the chance doesn't exist.

Also, this place needs more Boxxy.

I agree.

It's just hard to keep up with so many different forums, specially having to Mod one. I am going to make an effort to post here more often though.

I'd like to know if that comes from the insiders over realgm or is a personal opinion based on media articles and such.

I am interested because I am one of those who want to keep Bledsoe alongside Goran, but all things considered (lack of a market, knee, roster, etc), I believe 12M per is a fair offer, and probably wouldn't go any higher than that, unless Bledsoe and his camp showed an actual willingness to negotiate in good faith, beyond 5/80 or 4/60, which I would take simply as a joke.

By negotiation I mean seriously entertaining scenarios like 3/40 with a player option, or 5/60 team option, but from what's been reported during the summer, the player side seems simply impossible to deal with.

If it was an offer sheet it would be different, and I would match, but the agent failed and his options are pretty limited, especially if he was a prima donna who wants to be only on big markets.

But if he is indeed just a merc and is willing to play for small franchises, that would actually open a ton of options for sign and trades if/when Wiggins proves to be just a wet dream. Atlanta, Charlotte, Detroit, Indiana, Milwaukee, for instance.

The Suns not budging from their original offer is coming from a personal friend that is an insider and is not a member on RealGM. He was the one that told me earlier today that we were targeting Wiggins and not Love (which the media was reporting), and it makes sense as why would Rich Paul try to get Bledsoe moved for Love when it would piss off his much much much more profitable client in Lebron.

A few hour later, Ray-Ray (RealGM poster with a verified inside source) confirmed what my guy told me, that Wiggins was/is the target.

As I said on RealGM, I would be equally perfectly happy with LaVine and Bennett for Bledsoe if Flip rejects our push for Wiggins.

The name Andrew Wiggins is kind of scary. I have this mental image of him and his teammates walking off the court in victory over the corpses of the other team. Of course, if Ender is going to be involved, it's better to have him on our team than the other.

So now that the trade has been finalized, are there any restrictions on flipping Wiggins or Bennett? I think it's a long shot, but, wow, what a turn of events it could be.

That's not true at all. Rubio is an excellent defender.

The main thing to remember about Rubio is that he was David Khan's boy. Flip may not value him as much, or at least not as much as Bledsoe. And then there are the rumors that Rubio is demanding the max for his next contract (which is even more ridiculous than Bledsoe demanding the max).

Yes, for two months, if the player or players are being combined with other salary. So Minnesota could move Wiggins or Bennett immediately, but neither player can be traded with another player for that 2-month period.

They could do a Gerald Green and filler for Wiggins straight up to cover whatever Wiggins' salary would be, then a Bledsoe S&T for 'future considerations' and cap filler to make it work

A Bledsoe/Rubio backcourt could work similar to Dragic/Bledsoe except without Dragic's scoring ability. Bledsoe would have to carry a much larger offensive load, which he might want. Or Flip could be using Bledsoe as leverage/insurance against Rubio and his potential contract demands. Either way, I can't see that trade going down. I think Flip would catch a lot of hell trading Wiggins for a near max/max Bledsoe.

I also don't think it's out of the realm of possibility that Bledsoe take the QO and gets his 12 or more mil in the offseason. Teams have capspace next year and he still has a lot of admirers around the league. He might even take the same 12mil in a different market (NY, say) and make up the rest of of the money through sponsor deals.

I think there is absolutely no chance that we would be able to get Wiggins for Bledsoe. That would be so dumb by the Wolves FO. They might give us Bennett or other pieces if we wanted them.

What about a Bledsoe trade to Boston for Rondo? Or what other moves would be potentially intriguing?
