Suns have re-signed Mark Williams to a 3-year, $38m (fully guaranteed) contract.

Seems like a pretty friendly contract to me. I wish we could rehire Aaron Nelson’s training staff again.

I really hope this isn’t true. Are they just ignoring the last 1/3 of the season? This roster doesn’t make a ton of sense as constructed and is not better than Utah or Portland.
Disappointing if true.

Booker / Green / Brooks / Fleming / Williams
Gillespie / Goodwin / Allen / O'Neale / Oso
Brea / Dunn / Highsmith / Peat / Maluach

Those guys are all under contract, right? Or they will be as soon as Williams picks a new number and signs.

Then we have these guys who are probably gone:
Bouyea / Coffey / Livers / Huntly
Brea is probably still a 2-way if he’s back…same with Huntley. I don’t think Livers is eligible for a 2-way anymore. Bouyea has a non guaranteed deal next year(so does Highsmith). If we sign Williams and guarantee Bouyea and Highsmith, we have no roster spots left…just 2-ways and only one 2-way if Brea and Huntley are back.
Thanks for clarifying the non-guaranteed contracts. I don't mind at all if Brea and Huntly are gone. I wouldn't be surprised if Highsmith is replaced; he earned his minutes, but there's not much upside at age 30. I really liked Bouyea, and I hope we bring him back for thee next couple of seasons.
"Hey, Jane - get me off this crazy thing called love." - Charlie, but also Suns fans wishing we didn't have to watch more 4th quarter small ball but knowing we will tune in for the next game.

I cant handle another season of 6'5 lineups please just trade Allen and ONeale for assets just so Ott can't play them!!

I hope we can find a way to retain Highsmith.

He’s under contract. I assume he’ll be back. I think only partially guaranteed though, so we could decide to release him

It is kinda funny that we literally just replaced Amir Coffey with Koa Peat and brought back the other 14..still could see some changes, but we do have 15 under contract:

Here’s how I’m hoping we generally structure the depth chart/playing time:

Booker/Gillespie/Bouyea
Green/Grayson/Royce
Brooks/Goodwin/Dunn
Fleming/Highsmith/Peat
Williams/Oso/Maluach

Peat and Bouyea really the only 2 I really don’t expect to play. Royce/Dunn/Highsmith are kind of all interchangeable and we probably only need to play 1 if we’re healthy. I think Royce seems like the easiest salary dump we could make.

I also think there should be plenty of time to get all 3 5s minutes. Even if it’s 18/18/12 or 20/20/8…if the Maluach shot had come around, you could even play some double big lineups.

Yeah it’s the partial guarantee that worries me a bit.

First Wiggins, now Joe. Think maybe Pistons threw in the extra second for the name?

What’s a realistic two year goal for him? Jaden McDaniels?

At 0:47 he looks so beaten. What a ridiculous play. Turning in the air like he saw it all play out in advance.

That Fleming montage has me semi tumescent. Really looking forward to his play next season. Have to find minutes for this kid.

He was a decent player until last season when his production fell off a cliff. He still has some defensive value, but his offense was pretty bad. He might be worth the veteran minimum if his knee holds up better.

I think character and mental issues would prevent me from wanting to pursue Isaac. Besides we are pretty deep at C.

Draymond Green is opting out of his contract. The latest rumors are that Golden State is trying to get Lebron and Anthony Davis (??) to create a "Big 4" of Curry, Draymond, Lebron, and AD. Has a real "late 90s Rockets" or "2004 Lakers" vibe to it, imo; bunch of all-timers but probably past their respective primes.
