Is he though? People keep saying that & I never see it.

I just think he's a guard that needs the ball in his hands, dribble drive and dish. I don't know that's a role player who can bring the ball up, cut away and wait to shoot a 3 pointer. They can keep Galloway and Calderon around for that.

Link is giving me problems at work. Can someone recap?
My dream scnerio would be Bledsoe for 4 and I'd strongly consider Mudiay. If by some miracle D'angelo Russel fell to 4 he'd be the pick. I think Russel is the best player in the draft. At the very least he's 2 behind Towns.

I'm not sold on Mudiay. If Bledsoe is moved and we have the #4 pick, if Towns/Russel and Okafor are gone I'd look at Porzingas because I think he's legit. Not a big fan of Winslow and I like WCS but i think he's a bit of a reach at 4. I'm also torn because we have Len and while I'm still not sold on Len, if Len is healthy and ready to break out, then WCS doesn't get minutes to develop and we maybe pass on someone who can be a player for us.

I think he has letdown games where his intensity/focus takes a nosedive, but he seems to really hurt great PGs like Westbrook and Wall - though not Chris Paul. Really great at getting around screens and blocking shots.

See, I think Bledsoe keeps the ball so much because of the system we run - two attacking playmakers. I don't think he's well-suited to it. I have no idea how well he'd function in a movement-based offense that puts him off the ball most of the time.

Ford says that if Towns, Okafor and Russell aren't there at 4, the Knicks are really interested in moving the #4 for Bled and the #13 (and that's why they've been working out players in that range). Only question is whether we're interested - Ford has no information on that.
Whether or not we're interested, I'M interested, because I am ready to move on from our starters 1-4 of the last 10 games of last year.

Thanks Oe.
Bled and #13, huh? Rather we find a way to keep #13. Like quite a few players in that range. Bled and P.J.? Interesting nonetheless.

If we're moving up to 4 to draft Caulley-Stein I wouldn't do the deal. Mudiay has a much higher ceiling then Cauley Stein IMO. Zinger I like alot too. The Next Dirk? We'll see.
It's understandable you're not sold on Mudiay though. Definitely a bigger risk with a guy coming from playing oversees ala Jennings. I like his size a lot though and potential, now can he ever reach it? we'll see.

I would rather keep #13 in the trade. Then I take BPA on both. I really hope that Prozingas is available at #4. I think he has a chance to be special. Then I'm all for Booker or BPA at 13.
If they stay pat, I like Turner, Booker, Kaminisky, or Portis, probably in that order.

I personally just want Bledsoe gone so I'd do the deal.

I'd do it because I, too, don't think we can win with Bledsoe as our engine.

Would you guys rather swap Bledsoe and our #13 pick for the Knicks #4 pick or would you prefer trading Bledsoe straight up for the Kings #6 pick?
Considering the Cousins/Bledsoe connection and the state of the Kings FO I would hope Sacramento is capable and willing to overpay for Bledsoe. So who knows what kind of deals are possible with them but New York (now with the Zen Master at the helm) not so much, I am afraid ...

To me, it depends on who is available at #6.

I expect Russell to go 2nd overall btw. So if he would happen to be there at the 4th spot (I just cannot imagine that happening) that would of course change everything ...

And if your trade partners would need you to make a decision now?

I would but I think I'd want Collison back in the swap. At 6 you are guaranteed Kristaps, Mario or Justice.

Good point! I really hope we get a trade done with the Kings. They seem really desperate to do anything to please Cousins and as a few others on this board, I am just not a huge fan of Eric Bledsoe. Even though he is one of our best assets right now.
Just imagine being called Justice ...

Interesting tidbit regarding a player the Suns have been heavily linked to at #13

I thought that was interesting, too. Made me wonder if he should at least be looked at as a first-round prospect. Little doubt he'll be an elite rebounder. He should be no worse than average defensively and at the line. Why not? Is jumping so important?
