I think you're using "exciting" very liberally.
I don't. Players in the league know talent and we have young talent. 1 guy can help put it all together. Spurs are a different class with TP and Kahwi and Green. But do they really excite? Manu and TimD have maybe 2 years left, then what. TP is 33 years old. We have a 24 yr old Bledsoe, 23 yr old Knight on 5 year deals. Tyson Chandler a veteran with a ring who can shoulder the defensive load. If we get LMA, there's a legit 3 year window right now.

But hey what do I know. Minnesota's like a year away from contending right?
What does Minnesota have to do with anything?

Coro said on the radio this morning that he puts the odds at 75% LMA goes to the Spurs and 25% chance he goes to Suns. Sounds about right.

Oops! MB bro.
No I'm just saying great minds...

I'm so happy that Marcus is gone that I don't care that much if we don't get LMA. I'm cool with rolling with Markieff but we need a legitimate backup PF.
Amare!

The thing about coming to the Suns is that it would be like when Barkley arrived. LMA would be the man and he would be able to put up great numbers and have a chance to put the team on his shoulders and see how far he could take us. See if he could be the first to bring the Suns a championship. By going to the Spurs, he's stepping on the shoulders of greatness to see if he can prolong it. It's the simple and easy way to go.

In any event, McDonough and company showed a lot of moxie and brought us into the picture from nowhere. If nothing else, it's something to build on going forward. Chandler is just what this locker room needed. I think it will be a big growth year for our team culture. The young guys were begging for leadership in their exit interviews.

Yeah, honestly, going to SA and winning the title, that's just being another cog in the machine.

LMA coming to Phoenix and leading us to a title . . . well, that's something Barkley, Nash, and Shaq couldn't do. That's pretty freaking epic.

Freaking epic! That's a great way to describe it.

LMA or not, this is what I'm most happy about. People doubting McD can take a hike. The Suns FO had a plan and executed it for the first time since bringing Nash back. The shrewd moves this offseason and signing Chandler are what the organization needed to gain respect from players around the league.

Anyone think we'd offer up Keef to Orlando in S&T for Harris if they can't get Aldridge.

No. I think Markieff is more valuable than Harris & he isn't a PF. He's 6'8".

I'm sure he is. Most of what I have seen is him doing community stuff like basketball camps with David West and one at NC State.

I think he's more trying to say that LMA is an idiot if he'd choose us over SA.

Maybe so. I still think it's unnecessary shots at Phoenix. Amin has been kind of mean about it too. If I knew Markieff wouldn't go in the tank I'd almost rather just roll with what we have. Windhorst said there's a big market for Bledsoe. If we lose out on LMA maybe we reverse course and move him for young guys & picks. I honestly don't know what the next move is. I don't want to see West here. Maybe Amar'e but just as a backup playing 18 min a night at PF.

Pretty sure that ship has sailed. We're moving forward with Len, Warren, Booker and Bogdanovic as our in-house development cache. To that, we're adding vets. We also have 2016, 2017 and 2021 first rounders owed to us (though, by the looks of things, at least the first two won't be very valuable picks). One could say we're diversified.

It's nice to have INF back. But I'm afraid we're stuck with the pessimistic version for a while.

Don't worry, INF will lighten up when the Suns win the Championship in 2023.

We could try and sing David West for a shorter contract if LMA goes to the Spurs.
