You'd think it'd happen given the big weenie hasn't played since mid December... I'll be honest, if you told me that Ayton would play less games that Nurkic I would have taken that bet.
Dude, it could have if you hadn’t bumped the thread after 8 days to say that you thought the thread would’ve fallen off.
Anyway, looks like he’s waiting for the Suns game to return:

Funny how only Ayton’s injuries get questioned. Our big three haven’t exactly been suiting it up all year.
It’s more a question of whether the Portland big man curse has hit Ayton. I don’t remember him having any particular knee trouble or tendinitis before.
Oh, so now it’s a curses fault…. Got it.
So Ayton is now in a category with Bill Walton, Sam Bowie and Greg Oden?
Hell, just being in the same category with Walton is an achievement.
He’s closer to being OJ Mayo

Someone else said it, he's Andrew Wiggins, just taller.

So he could be an All-Star and help a team win a championship while on a max contract? Isn’t that all I ever claimed?

So far he’s 0/2 and not even close

The credit that Wiggins is getting on this forum from that last title run is insane. He was MAYBE at best their 3rd best player lol. Crazy.
Also, everyone knows that all-star appearance is bullshit.

I think it’s from the finals itself. He was their 2nd best player in the actual finals.

He was amazing during those Finals because he was doing all the stuff everyone expects him to do routinely.
Much like Ayton, I don't think Wiggins enjoys the work required to be great in the NBA.

Sounds familiar.

Wiggins vs Ayton
Both laid eggs in their last NCAA games, getting upset by lower seeds
Both #1 picks in drafts where #2 busted and #3 were generational talents
Both have unreal athleticism, but low motors
Both signed rookie max agreements that their teams regretted and moved off quickly
Neither great at creating for themselves, and definitely not for their teammates
Both can be great defensively when they want to, but they rarely want to
Anything else?

Does Wiggins refer to himself in the third person too?

Both have exactly six games of NBA Finals experience, albeit with different results.

I love clowning on Ayton as much as anyone, but I think it's a pretty legitimate excuse.
Oregon has had some brutal ice storms recently and I know from experience how terrible the city of Portland can be at managing the response. Not to mention he's very likely not living anywhere near the arena. There's no way to get out of the West Hills where a lot of the rich people live when there's a big snow or ice storm.

My only question would be why was the rest of the team able to make it?

Exactly. The weather has been bad for a week or so including during the recent game they played against Suns.
It's his own fault for not being prepared enough to get there, but there's also likely some real danger involved.

And he's officially out for the game (travel issues).
