I’d totally throw in Payne. But I guess that’s still nowhere near enough money.

I would gladly take Smart on this Suns roster, but I think he's lost a step athletically at the moment. However, I wouldn't be surprised if he commits to a new regimen that rejuvenates his career for a few years, so I think it's a pretty good bet by the Grizzlies even if they might've over paid for the opportunity to find out.

Throw in Wainright, take out Todd & Goodwin and you might get close?

You could get Morris if you throw in Payne

I would probably just rather stick with Payne, for the sake of continuity.

No way to get Tyus because of the money(unless Ayton gets included), but we could reroute Muscala to us.
Part of me was wondering if this all leads to Ayton being included. Word already went out that the Suns were interested in Monte Morris. Muscala, Gallinari, Gafford are all players that I think would fit with the Suns. So I think there is a package to be put together there. Of course, I would prefer Tyus over Morris; Tyus is a stud.
But let me stop even dreaming of these possibilities. Ayton is the sun, moon, and stars, and Frank Vogel would quit if we traded him.

This is funny since we were talking about having to settle for trading Chris Paul for Poole! But instead we get Beal and Washington has to settle for Poole. Lol.
Guessing this will be a 3-team or even 5-team trade.

Lemme go ahead and say it, fuck Chris Paul.
Feels good to be able to hate him again.

Washington did well for themselves.

They cleaned that slate pretty good, not huge on Poole but they need someone to get buckets.

Poole is going to have unlimited touches and no pressure. It will be the perfect conditions for him to rehabilitate his value. Last year was a down year he still averaged 20 ppg. Plus he is young. And they got picks (albeit ones far into the future).
It was good move and a lot better than keeping CP3.

On the Golden State side of things, they've made some really poor decisions. The Poole extension has cost them draft capital. They gave away Wiseman. They traded like 1000 second rounders for GP2 and still got swept by the Lakers. And they've lost Bob Myers. Rough times.

GS planning on stretching that contract and waiving CP? Dude is totally washed.

I’m glad we didn’t trade for Poole. That would have risked our whole franchise.

He is guaranteed for this season now. Might as well keep him and then waive him next offseason and have all of his deal off the books.

I'd still rather be in their position than us. Winning one ring would be nice.

Washington looks like it could use a low post bigman opposite Jordan Poole...

Was it all the same trade? Or did Paul go to Washington for a bit? If he did and GS waives him he can technically come back haha

I think Morris gets you a better playmaking look than Payne.
