I will miss the guy, but honestly if another team was willing to offer him 4/$32, it's best for all sides for him to take it and leave. We can't pay him that, and he would be silly to turn down that huge paycheck at this stage of his career. I wish him the best. Why does he have to be so bent out of shape about it?
that frye-to-orlando move was a lose-lose for both the suns and frye, basketball-wise.

Hmm. Why are the Bulls going after Love again? Didn't they just sign Pau? I don't think it makes sense to have both.

Going after Love now doesn't make any sense for them. He doesn't significantly upgrade what they already can do as a team. With Gasol, Mirotic, Noah, McDermott! and Gibson, they're set in the front court. What would make a difference is a dynamic 2 guard, a defensive/playmaking point guard, and/or just a phenomenal athlete that is a transition threat and can use his length to make plays at the rim and in the passing lanes.

Maybe Chicago tries to trade for Bledsoe and Green.

Btw, Gibson/Butler for Love is a crap offer.

Agreed. Of course, Bulls fans think that's a better offer than anyone else can give.

A super-maxed Derrick Rose and a $12-15 million a year Eric Bledsoe? Did Ryan McDonough get traded to Chicago?

I thought it might fit their needs that you posted.

I have never been a huge fan of Gibson. Decent PF but he has stubby arms and doesn't seem like a guy who can take you very far. I know he's an advanced stats darling and plays his ass off; I just don't think he deserves a huge contract or would make a good centerpiece of a big trade like that. Love to Gibson is an epic downgrade.
Butler's good, but like a lot of Chicago's pieces, he seems like a system guy. Would he be good on another team? Is he just another Luol Deng? Bulls have a lot of B+ dudes but not many As.

Grantland really has the best basketball writers in the game. Kirk Goldsberry and Zach Lowe bring it every time with a superbly secular and in-depth approach to sports analysis. Great read, love the comparisons to Bernard King, a player who I knew little about prior to reading that.

I honestly can't think of a single good comparison to any current NBA player. I've never seen a rookie SF with such a refined inside game, but little to no efficiency outside of 15 feet.

I didn't know the Bulls have traded Greg Smith (makes 900k) to the Mavs for nothing. I would have liked that move for the Suns.

Not really. English had more range, and did not have the inclination to go inside that Warren has. English was a shooter, Warren is a scorer. The Bernard King comparison is a better one for Warren. I see a larger version of Ced Ceballos in Warren, at least at this juncture.
