This is my draft assessment in a nutshell. All the awesome prospects you guys are posting about, I don't think any of them will be there when it's our turn to pick.
I understand the point of the thread, but its really enjoyable to just watch the team we currently have win a few games and not worry about draft positioning.
Yeah, it's especially silly to be upset about wins.

Trash talk.
I don't know why it would make you think twice about drafting him though. That's usually a bad thing. Seems like a great kid with a really good head on his shoulders (and incredible wingspan!)
What a great pairing they would be. Mohammed Bamba and the Wannabe Mamba.
Just an incredible line.

He gives a great interview. Very mature / poised / well-spoken for a 19yr old athlete.
And we know how Sarver loves guys who interview well.
Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding. I could not believe how articulate and mature he comes across for a 19 year old. He reminds me of David Robinson in his maturity and manner.

Somebody always slips to 9 or 10 that shouldn't have.

I'm just tired of getting disappointed every year. I'm just going to let it go and let the chips fall where they may.

You need to stop being so mature and level-headed. This is sports fandom after all!!!

Heh. Easy for me to say. Now let's see if I actually do it!

Excuse me? How do you put up 27/9/10 in a 40-minute game and not have it going?

He looks sluggish and tired. Amazing to see the mental focus when his legs aren't under him and he doesn't have the speed we are used to seeing. Possibly his most encouraging game, because he showed that he can play well when he has to play slow.

Markus Howard from Chandler had himself a game recently for Marquette. He tied a Big East record with 52 points.

What do your personal rankings look like? Mine, as of right now:
Tier 1
Doncic
Ayton Tier 2
Young
Bagley Tier 3
Bamba
Porter (could go up or down depending on the health of his back)
[big drop here]
Tier 4
JJJ
Sexton
Mikal Bridges
No one else excites me all that much (yet).

All I know is where we would pick:
Tier 1
Doncic
Ayton Tier 2
Young
Bagley Tier 3
Bamba
Porter (could go up or down depending on the health of his back)
[big drop here]

I think there is a top 12 in this draft right now.
Ayton is close to tier 1. I could see Bamba moving into tier 2. Porter is in tier 3 by default. He would have been tier 2 preseason, I dropped him for the back injury. I probably have Carter and Mikal Bridges higher than most.

Ayton-Doncic--Bagley-Young--Bamba-Porter.

The Suns will pick 9-10th and get none of these guys.

I think our pick will probably fall in the 6-8 range. Which is a shame because it seems there is a clear drop off after pick 6. Maybe this the year where we luck out and move up? I mean, probably not, but a man can dream, right?!

My dream is to not worry about it and the basketball karma gods allow us to move up for once because we're not actively tanking.

Young is on epsn app playing against WVU and one of the best defensive guards in the nation if y'all are interested.
