The Nets don't have a pick in 2024 or 2026, so it's impossible for us to offer 4 picks and 3 pick swaps.

I believe this. Four is too many if they are also including assets like Ayton and Cam Johnson. Those two are worth 4 late first round picks by themselves.
How many picks would you trade if you knew you were getting one of the best 5 basketball players on the planet?
It doesn’t matter how many you would, it matters what the market is. Gobert fetched hot garbage and 4 picks.
We’re looking at a 34 year old player who’s got a few years left and has made it known he wants Phx. He’s driven away others. We don’t have to offer the farm and the animals living in it. Can be one or the other as set by past deals.

I wonder if we could get an future unprotected pick for Ayton + Turner for Ayton that we could use to offset losing picks in a KD trade.

Your question is too open for me to try to answer, but I would say for KD I can tolerate Ayton, Cam J, two picks and whatever trash contracts it takes to make the salaries work. The Suns can still field a championship contender with that trade.

You can't ask this and leave his age out of the equation. We don't know how many great years he has left.

It's true that he will be 34 when the season starts. At least we know that left knee made it through a season. Anybody know how many games he missed last season?

Let's consider KD falls through and this turns in to something like Myles Turner for DA...there's a lot comparable here, except...
DA scores a little more than Turner...
Myles is a better defender...
So, here's the be question for thought... the defense has to come from the player...Turner seems to have that. However...my point...any chance Myles scoring comes up being fed by CP, and we end up net better off in that swap? For the stat nerds, how well did Myles do vs Giannis as compared to our current roster?

As much as I can't stand Green in so many ways, he is great in so many others. And he is 100% right on that. Even at the very top of the business world, you don't often find CEOs of major corporations as people that grew their career only there. You need so many different perspectives to be top of your game. Sometimes it works out perfectly and you can stay in one place and still get those perspectives, but it is extremely rare.

Myles Turner is not better at defense than DA. You’re reading blocks per game. Stats don’t equal overall ability otherwise Kelly Oubre would be DPOY

Myles Turner is a very good defender. He’s been in the DPOY conversation. I’m not gonna pretend like I watch a ton of him and know for sure, but it’s definitely believable that he’s better than DA.

They are certainly comparable. I wonder how many times Turner has been backed down by Luka.

I think Turner is a fine fall back from Ayton, my only gripe is his rebounding, it's awful. I do think he's got better hands and is a better shot blocker than Ayton, but Ayton is better at moving his feet and just getting vertical defensively Ayton also has a superior touch offensively. I do not think the Suns would regress if all things being equal they just swapped Ayton for Turner.

Yeah I think DA is way better at some things, and Turner is way better at others. But they seem pretty comparable as overall players.

How did Turner rebound before Sabonis?

It has never been good for a center his size.

Can’t move his feet.
He just gets blocks. That’s all.

Looking at Turner's numbers, i had to look at Indy's PG #s too...shouldn't have...saw Haliburton's...made me mad at our draft handling all over again.
