Yeah, you're right. I was thinking the season was closer for some reason. Wishful thinking, I guess.

No kidding. 4 months is a long time to wait to see Suns games again. But I heard they are playing in Vegas soon. If only you could get there...

Yeah, but will he be in game shape?

I'm gonna hold out hope that this does help with the logjam a bit. He's got to be the odd man out this season.

I am assuming he will be doing cardio near the end of that recovery. His timing might be off a bit, but he moves s l o w l y so it shouldn't be too much of a problem. And, I wouldn't expect him to play regularly or more than 10 minutes a game unless there are injuries or we move someone.

He should be able to do cardio with upper body hand bikes, and I've seen that they have devices now that you can train your muscles for a marathon without taking a single step, which would certainly help alleviate wear and tear from the constant pounding of running.

Waiting to see Bender’s defensive position will have to wait until the roster shapes out through free agency, but Watson already dropped a hint about the offensive role the Suns will try to carve out for him in Summer League. Queue the “positionless basketball” conversation. “We want him to take the ball off the rim as a rebound and push it. We want to see him make plays. We want to figure out a system where he can run some point, just let him open up his game,” Watson told Doug and Wolf on 98.7 FM, Arizona’s Sports Station on Wednesday.

I like it! Let's see his full game. Let's see what he has to offer.

Bender reminds me of Zarko. Same size, frame, perimeter abilities. I still wonder what could've been with Zarko.

Wow. Not even a little bit for me other than they are both Euro players. Bender is way more advanced in almost every ability. Zarko couldn't defend a chair iirc and I certainly don't remember him having any ball skills.
Go Suns!

Nah I remember Zarko grabbing the rebounding and bringing it up like a guard. He used to hold the ball like it was a grapefruit.

Damn Danny Fortson.
It was a minor injury that healed completely. If his confidence was so fragile that it could be utterly destroyed by such a trivial incident, then he was never going to make it anyway.
